Since one of the librarians has taken it upon himself to ban me from the relevant sections of the library, [ that may have been a wry smile there but it's gone very quickly, ] I was wondering if one of you could tell me something about the history of Union. The story of the Saviour aside.

My name is Thorin. I came here from Caldera a few months ago, but have not had the chance to ... immerse myself in the culture.

Well, I know dad likes having Calderan smiths around. And there's plenty of workspace, if you wanted to work with that. And I could probably help you find some work doing commissions, if you were up for heading into the mountains for gems and ore while you're training your Pokemon. That's where I make a lot of my disposable income.

I've gotten a decent amount of commissions, but only for someone who's new to the area. The help would be appreciated, as would a reason to leave the city from time to time. I know a few things about both ore and gems. Perhaps we can both benefit from this.

Well, send me the address of the place you've been staying and I'll get you a list of refineries and workshops that need the stuff, and come out with me so I can show you what to look for sometime. It's mostly stuff for evolution stones, or decoration, but there's other things too.
