Ami went on to explain how even the smallest cup, if frozen solid, would allow Rei a chance to enjoy something cold before her natural body heat took in. She drew small diagrams in the sand and gave rough estimates of each drink, the size, and how long it would take for Rei to melt and then heat up the drink.
