[The video feed cuts on to a flurry of pink feet and blue-tipped ribbons, and halfway through a terse swear on the part of a one Fletchinder Shifter. For a moment it's quiet and the view is of the ceiling of Hikawa Shrine, before it moves and Ankh's face briefly swims into view before right back out.]

Can you-- knock it off already, I know you're excited. Quit.

[His face swims back into view and he seems to realize belatedly that the thing is showing video, and his expression goes from irritated to absolute horror in negative three seconds.]

--So! There's a Sylveon following me around. Dunno where sh-- it came from. Not mine. Anybody wanna claim her?

[Fluff, for the record, is very much his. She's just evolved from his affectionate Eevee into a Sylveon, and he's mortified of people finding out that he actually cares about her. Aforementioned Sylveon leaps up onto his shoulder and makes a pleased sound, nuzzling his hair.]

Would you-- stop that!

You don't need to be shy about that. I don't think anyone would make fun of you for having an excited pokémon.

[He is going to set everything on fire. He grits his teeth when he speaks.]

Then why did you just try to give your pokémon away? Don't you love her? She really loves you!

[tsunbird]

[How does he even explain this. He can't. There is literally no way to explain "I don't want people thinking I give a shit about a happy loving creature" to someone that has only met him once-- it'd just confuse her.]

[So he just waves a hand.]

It's a joke. I wasn't actually going to give her away.

[She guesses Fluff must of gotten the joke, since the pokémon isn't angry.]

You two are so cute! She's so happy, she must of thought your joke was good!

[Look at that Sylveon up on Ankh's shoulder. Cute.]

[Fluff thinks Ankh's immense tsun-ing is actually pretty hilarious and frankly, she thinks it makes him more lovable. He really wishes she didn't, to be honest. She's a pretty happy critter to chill out like a colorful scarf, though.]

[He huffs, closing his eyes and sighing.]

She's just glad I'm letting her sit on my shoulders, I think.

[honokairo]

I think you wouldn't let her up there if you didn't want her there.

[She peers into the feed. Close up of Honoka.]

[He makes a vague wheezing sound and wiggles his shoulders around so Fluff hops down.]

I think-- [He scrunches his face up at Fluff when she sits and rolls her eyes at him, grooming herself by his feet instead.] --that you should stop assuming things about a guy you don't know.
