[The girl on the screen might look vaguely familiar to some, though more in a "Do I know a relative of yours" sort of way rather than anything personal. She runs a hand through her roughly chopped hair and gives the camera a smile.]

So I finally got the video upgrade for this thing, and I thought I'd actually use it for talking to people. I'm Piper, and this [She lifts an Eevee into view] is Amore. My father gave him to me as a birthday present, which was really nice. I also have another Pokemon around here somewhere, named Fierte, but she has a tiny bit of an attitude and didn't want to be on camera. Which is cool. I usually don't either.

But yea, I only have the two Pokemon right now. I'm going to go out this afternoon I think, and see if I can catch some more, or train up the two I have, but if anyone's got advice or anything that'd be great. I'm kinda new at all this obviously. My dad's always been the Pokemon person, not me.

I don't suppose anyone would want to, say go out with me. [A pause and then a frantic shake of her head] Not like that, not like a date. I just meant outside the city to explore or whatever. [She smiles again but it's a bit shaky]

I guess that's all I wanted to say.

Thanks for the encouragement. I wanna be good at this whole trainer thing, but I figure there's no way to do that if I get stomped my first time out. So I'm like super open to advice and stuff.

Well, avoiding getting eaten's a good start. [ OKAY THAT WAS RUDE ] Verdant Forest's usually pretty tame for newer people, but there's still dangerous stuff there. Keep aware, and avoid the area if you see things burning. Oughta be wary of the Moss Rock, even if Willow'll tell you it's holy. Also...

Wanna have me back you up? I've got two babies to train.

Yea, I figured I'd start in the forest pretty close to the city. I figure most of the dangerous stuff's been driven back or whatever.

Yeah, maybe. You're right that the walls usually deter anything too strong, but it's not impossible. Keep on guard for it.

Heh, sure. I'll be out there doing a little training, I could show you around the forests or shrines. Enough people did that for me when I was new.

I've got an Eevee and a Purrloin. But she doesn't like being recorded apparently.

[Her eyes widen slightly at the Tyranitar]

Because I haven't tried it yet? [She shrugs] I mean, my grades in school and test scores and all that really important stuff haven't really qualified me for anything, so I figured I might as well try this.

[ You know... she relates to that. Didn't even finish school, herself. ]

He is. A little pushy about it, but...

[She manages to get an arm around it's head and neck. Nevermind that it's a kaiju, Kyo still wants a hug.]

Heh, he's actually really sweet. Hates being left alone.

I'll bet that started when he was a bit smaller? My dad's had that problem with a couple of his Pokemon.

Yea, me too.

Larvitar are pretty small, and yeah. It's just a phase he never grew out of. Honestly, my biggest Pokemon are the ones that are the most clingy. Kyo just has the honor of being the biggest change in size.

Well, I do baby him a lot. A whole lot. Probably not the best for him, but honestly when he was smaller he was just so cute I couldn’t not.

Yeah I found one of my pokemon there, tiny little Budew and she's really cute. We could go to the forest, it's no problem, I'm sure you'll find something that fits you there.
