Hey guys! I've been putting away some money for awhile now, and I've about got everything ready. I'm pleased to announce the Prodigal Explorer, a store dedicated to trainers who need a bit more adventure in their lives. We will produce evolution items, take special orders for enhanced items, and provide all of the things a trainer might need for a Grand Adventure. I'm looking for some other engineers who want to help staff, you'll get a good cut of the profits for anything you produce if it sells and will have the autonomy for your own projects. Let me know if you're interested, so long as you've got the skill I've got a place for you.

[OOC: Ezreal is opening up his new store, The Prodigal Explorer. Thus far I've listed the people who expressed interest in getting in on it, if any of you would prefer not to have their character attached let me know and I'll take you off the list. Any other Engineers are welcome to join at any time, let me know. Characters may now request items that are showing in the shop inventory and will be able to request special orders from any of the Engineers on staff - if you thread out a commission thread you can even use it for AC requirements, so long as the length meets the normal AC needs. I'm hoping to use this to help disseminate items throughout the game with more efficiency, if you have questions feel free to let me know I'll have an OOC question thread available!]

[ACTION]

[Something about swapping bodies really motivated Elly in strange ways. Union was weird to be sure, but being able to actually hold a conversation with the Pokemon around the city as well as her own was nice. So nice that she decided that maybe she would help volunteer around the Breeding Center.

Elly can be found in the middle of a bunch of baby Pokemon, acting as a human jungle gym; some of the very little ones are even convinced that the redhead is their mother. It's hard to tell whether or not Elly is having fun or is extremely overwhelmed, but she's laughing at least, so there is that.

When not at the Breeding Center, she has taken to doing odd jobs for the Medical Center. Versed in a bit of medicine, she acts mostly as a runner, but always seems to linger a little too long with the patients. It seems that might be where she wants to be.]

[Later in the evening, the feed turns on. There is a strange sound behind her... is that dripping? Is that dripping and mumbling? Was that a leaky faucet? And was that a Zubat hovering by her head?]

Beaumont, could you just--

[Beaumont? Didn't you say Chu-Chu? A giant fluff-ball rolls in, hopping up on Elly's shoulders and staring down at the feed. Hello world, it's Chu-Chu! Chu didn't know it yet, but Chu really wanted to see her, right?]

Ack! Hey, don't do that! I'm trying to--

[Dear God, what was the high pitched squeal just now? A brown streak runs by, striped tail bristled as it gets chased by a cute pink streak. A very put-upon Flaaffy follows after, trying to tell them to stop; the two don't listen.]

Teddy, Gil, cut it ou--

[She stops as she hears water running from the other room. Chu-Chu jumps off her shoulders and rolls away as the woman looks behind her.]

Skyler, no! The bathtub is not for swimming! Beaumont, stop crying about the meaning of life, you're going to ruin the carpet! Teddy, Gil, stop chasing each other! Bertie, could you stop flying around my head, I can't think!

[She pauses, rubbing her forehead.]

I'm sorry, there was a point to this, but then I forgot it--

[CRASH.]

YOU ARE IN SO--

[End transmission.]

[ Whoops. The camera is shaky for a moment before steadying itself with a quiet vee. All set!! What's onscreen?

Well, the Pokémon on screen appears to be in the Verdant Forest....until you take a second look, at which point it becomes clear those bushes are, in fact, painted on wooden sets. The star of today's production is a small male Nidoran, decked out for the occasion in a flower corsage and a stylish bow tie....and he has a poem to declaim for anyone who might be listening.

Clearing his throat, he begins. This is a poem for his beloved, Stradivarius the Nidoran! ]

Nido nido! Nido nido, nido ran? [ But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks? ]
Ran nido, nido ran nido ni. [ It is the east, and Stradivarius is the sun. ]
Nidoran ran nidoran nidoran, [ Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, ]
Ni nidoran ran do ni do ran, [ Who is already sick and pale with grief, ]
Doran nido nidoran ni: [ That thou her maid art far more fair than she: ]
Ran do ni nidoran ran do ni; [ Be not her maid, since she is envious; ]
Nidoran nidoran nidoran [ Her vestal livery is but sick and green ]
Do nido nido nido; nidoran. [ And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.

When he's finished declaiming, he pauses for a moment, chest puffed out, to let the moment sink in; then, he takes a sweeping bow and the feed ends....or, well, topples sideways, fades to static, and cuts out with a yelp of "Eevee!"

Nailed it. ]

[ action ]

[ Haruka is dozing up in the tree in the Union Divine Theater's courtyard: she'd gotten the same kind of strange premonitions the night everyone's bodies returned to normal as she had when the flowers vanished in the spring. There's definitely something - several somethings; it wasn't the exact same sensation - out there, and they're aware of the city, and playing with it...

She has no idea her own Pokémon have been playing, however. In fact, she looks asleep. ]

[With all the tests needed passed, the paperwork signed, and the badge obtained, Yuuna finally felt she'd figured out the place where she could do the most good. Joining the Rangers at the suggestion from Jade and after several conversations with Goku just seemed like the natural progression of things. So, once the weirdness of being stuck in Robin's body had worn off she'd gone in and taken the last test. It wasn't hard, just a basic athletics exam that'd gone swimmingly, and after a brief induction ceremony she was pretty much given leave to carry on and wait orders.

So, back out into the wilderness to train she goes, her merry band in tow, heading north on a mission.

The last few weeks had been pretty damn weird, what with all the random Croagunk attacks. Whoever heard of Pokemon taking such a dislike to someone? And they'd gone after more than just her, too, since they'd seemingly targeted Robin while their bodies had been swapped. It wasn't like they were being particularly talkative, and so she'd gone out and located one last week that'd seemed amenable to training with her, but that'd turned up nothing. If anything, bonding with Geshiko had made the problem worse, with Croagunk turning up at least twice a day.

And Geshiko herself? Well...once she'd swapped back, the little froggy had seemed absolutely horrified to be in Yuuna's presence. She'd gone from openly affectionate to seemingly terrified in the span of a day, and that was incredibly worrisome. None of her other Pokemon seemed to know what was wrong, either, which...really didn't help matters. Maybe it was a vain hope, but if nothing else she figured a trip to the swamp might hold some answers. And if not, let the poor girl go.

On the way, though...]

Hey there Union...and not Union people. This is Yuuna, and I figure I probably should announce it since I passed all the exams this morning. I'm now officially a part of the Rangers. So, if there's any help you need, or something I can do, please don't hesitate to send me a message and I'll do everything I can.

And while I'm at it, I've got a problem of my own that I'm wondering if anyone can help with. The past few weeks I've been having repeated encounters with angry Croagunks. Like, they've been attacking me when I've been anywhere near the swamp and sometimes in Union too, like they're following me around. It's really kind of weird, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen similar behavior in Pokemon before. I don't even mean the same ones, either, because each time these have been completely different Croagunks.

Also on a related topic, last week...I bonded with a Croagunk, and ever since that weirdness stopped, she's been acting terrified of me. I figure it's probably related, but I'm not sure what to do with her. Any thoughts on how to maybe keep her from wigging out when we're in the same room? I don't want to scare her or anything, and I really don't want to have to fight off a bunch of frogs every day, so any thoughts would be-

[A deep, burbling, basso croak echos behind her, audible even over the warp band]

-oh...hell...

[The camera drops to the ground as Yuuna drops it and rolls away, and the attacker is plainly visible. A second Pokemon shrieks, and the Poliwrath has an opponent! A Hawlucha squares off, standing between the water-type and her trainer, crouched and ready for a fight! And then the camera blanks out as a hand grabs the band.

Sorry guys, this ain't pay-per-view.

That said, there is a lot of noise coming from an area, so anyone who's out and about today is more than welcome to come running for an Action portion to spectate, help out, or just stare at the spectacle. Yuuna's not far outside Union]

Video, much later

[It's an hour or two after the fact, and Yuuna pops back on the warp band, wearing streaks of mud and a sheepish grin on her face.]

Sorry about that. But, you see what I mean?

[OOC: And feel free to break time if you want an action thread!]
