Dream 1
[The air is a bit nostalgic but the entire room is black. Fei is sitting in a chair, leaning back as if reflecting on something. A sweet melody is playing faintly, although the source of the music is not to be found. It's a quiet place, reflective, but it feels like there's a lot missing, memories that will not return.]
Dream 2
BMG: Knight of Fire
[The scene here is a town burning, with soldiers marching in. The air is thick with gunpowder and the sound of shelling and mortar can be heard. Fei is in the center, fighting waves upon waves of soldiers. A voice in the distance is screaming at him to stop, yelling that he must not fight here but he keeps going anyway.]
Dream 3, locked to Elly
[Fei is sitting on a chair behind an easel, painting a portrait. The subject of his painting, Elly, is sitting in a chair posing.]
Don't move so much, it's hard to get it right.
[His tone is one of gentle chiding]

So am I.
[The dreamscape starts to blur and fade. Time to wake up!]

She didn't open her eyes at first, sitting in a haze of not quite awake, but not fully asleep. She was warm, comfortable, and didn't want to move yet.]

And then dog.
Jolting awake when the Stoutland started licking, Elly screamed out in surprise. It hadn't quite registered that she was somewhere else, her sleep-addled mind still trying to figure out what just happened.]

[The scream surprises Fei, who falls out of bed with a loud thud. Stoutland ignores this entirely in favor of sitting up on the bed, tongue out and looking at Elly, waiting for food.
Clearly he knows a sucker when he sees one.]
no subject
...Fei?!
[What. But. What? No, but. What? WHERE WAS SHE?]
no subject
Elly!? How did you get here!?
no subject
I don't know! I don't know! I just woke up here! What are you doing here?!
no subject
no subject
Oh.
Then how did I get here?!
[And why was she in his bed? Wait, that feeling earlier, was she in his arms? Oh great golems, don't even think about that right now, Elly don't you dare think about that right now.
Except now her face and ears are turning red, and she can't stop thinking about it. Great. Wonderful. This is awesome.]

Why were you--
[Stop]
Holding onto me like that?
[DO YOU REALLY WANT TO ASK THAT QUESTION RIGHT NOW ELLY?]

Ow damn it OK I will feed you. Sorry, give me a second.
[He gets up and starts moving toward the pantry, Stoutland trailing behind him.]

no subject
Well, at least he likes you.
no subject
That's... good?
[She sits up a bit, trying to readjust under the weight and absently petting him.]
That still doesn't answer how I got here.
no subject
I'd heard things are a bit weird right now, maybe that has something to do with it?
no subject
Okay fine, two pets, but then she really wants you to move. She's losing circulation.]
Displacing people? Maybe. Still, the dream you were having felt entirely too real.
no subject
A memory?
[Stoutland starts rolling around and then promptly falls off Elly's legs and lands on the ground with a thud. It doesn't seem to be hurt at all and is still presenting its belly for rubs]
no subject
There's no way that's possible. We just met a few months ago.
[Dog the adults are having an important conversation. More important than belly rubs. Although she does have a free foot, if that will do for tummy scratches.]
no subject
I know. It's strange, really, but it felt very... familiar.
