The ledge seems pretty bare. There are small mounds of sand here and there and it seems as it will be possible to get a good look down into the lower parts of the canyon from here.

In any case, the underside of the rock shelf slopes inward such that it doesn't seem possible to proceed any further from here without proper equipment.
