The creature's influence over Haruka dissipates somewhat along with the fog; its eyes haunt her, but she no longer feels frozen in place. That was...that was it? They finally find it, and then it ignores them and moves on?

Not that it cares. Why would it? Why would a god care about a few humans? Haruka's spent years hoping to find these Pokémon, hoping she can keep history from repeating itself. She's still sensible enough to stop if somebody calls out to her, but she can't let things end like this. She has to prevent disaster. That's been the real Mission all along.
