What: Pamela’s 19th birthday party. Everyone is invited.

Where: The Isley manor

[Although Pamela’s mother Cordelia Isley is a known socialite, the Isleys don’t often throw parties – or not large ones, anyhow. Pamela’s father Walter Isley is a high ranking Engineer and a workaholic, so most Isley parties are just small affairs organized solely by Cordelia, or sometimes by Pamela’s grandparents, Hugh and Jocasta. In the latter case, the parties tend to be for an older crowd.

In light of Pamela’s nineteenth birthday, her recent evolution, and her involvement in the diplomatic relations between Union and Caldera, her grandparents felt generous and decided to throw a large party. Pamela herself had been hoping for a small event, but her grandparents and mother were having none of it. So Pamela took it upon herself to personally improve her grandparents’ front yard and garden. There’s a long winding path leading up to the Isley home, thoroughly adorned with flowers that are in full bloom.

The invitation was extended to everyone in Union as well as their Calderan visitors. Although nowhere near the entire city is here, there’s still a fairly large turnout of people from all social stations ranging from poor to nobility.]

General mingle & dinner

[The dining room is already set up for the five course meal. Next door, the ballroom is wide open and free for mingling in. There is a table for gifts for anyone who decided to bring the birthday girl a present, though they weren’t expected.

In the ballroom, there are servers bringing around trays with drinks on them – champagne and non-alcoholic drinks with little pieces of fruit speared on them, primarily.

In the dining room, the seating has been assigned seemingly randomly. Despite Cordelia Isley’s efforts to seat people according to social station, Pamela secretly rearranged them a bit. Make a new friend as you enjoy your meal! The dinner begins with a fresh and varied salad, then soup, then a small selection of appetizers, before the main course comes out, followed by a fruity and creamy dessert. At each table, there is a small vase with freshly cut flowers.]

By the buffet

[The buffet is intended primarily for people who did not RSVP for the party with at least five days’ notice, but anyone who has room after the five course meal or who was simply too hungry to wait for dinner is welcome to partake. All of the food at the buffet heavily features fruit and vegetables. There are several different salads, including one fruit salad. Appetizers include stuffed mushrooms, caramelized onion tarts with olives, and lemon-parsley gougeres.

There are glasses of juice and water available at the table. Anyone who wants an alcoholic beverage has to stop by the bar. They won’t check for identification, but they will refuse to serve alcohol to anyone obviously a minor.]

Dance floor

[The ballroom has been freshly renovated. Anyone who happens to speak to either Hugh or Jocasta Isley will be regaled with the story of why the renovations were necessary in the first place – namely Hugh thought he’d picked up a Geodude egg when he’d actually selected an Onix egg at the breeding center. The hyperactive young Onix hatched inside the Isley manor, barreling through the ballroom wall, taking out a chandelier and some of the floor tiles in the process. It seems that Pamela’s attempts to be discreet about the reason for renovations were in vain. Fortunately, they have a sense of humour about it all.

The music playing features a mix of all the latest hits, plus the old classic pieces for waltzes and the like that the noble crowd will be more familiar with. Pamela’s newly evolved Roserade Basil can be found hanging out here, eager to dance with anyone who will join him. ]

Gardens

[The gardens in the back are even more impressive than the front yard. There’s an even broader assortment of colourful flowers. The Isley family’s groundskeeper outdid himself, cutting shrubbery into the shape of various Pokemon. There are several benches to sit on, and in the center of the garden, there is a fountain with a beautiful statue of the Saviour surrounded by Pokemon with a loving smile on her face.]

Party games

[There are two party games planned for the evening: one involving facts and trivia, and another for Pokemon charades. In both cases, teams are randomly assigned.

The questions being asked in the first game are varied. Some involve things about Pokemon, their elemental typing, their habitat and other random information. Other questions involve scientific facts, history, and pop culture.

In the second game, a trainer has the chance to discreetly tell their pokemon how to act something out, and people have to guess what the pokemon in question is trying to communicate.]

Nobles only sitting room

[For those who only want to associate with other nobles. Or maybe they just want some tea, biscuits and some quieter company. It's not exactly quiet anywhere else in the manor that hasn't been closed off.]

[Michiru is well mannered enough to greet the hosts of the party, so she'll definitely pick up that story about the baby Onix. At the same time, Lulu the Roselia had wanted to come along and is currently sneaking peeks at Basil from behind Michiru. Uwah, you look so cool!]

[ Haruka is hanging back by the wall as her Cubchoo nervously approaches the game, having traded in her usual woolen scarf for a pearl necklace and a bow in front of her ear. She'd wanted to go to the party, but hadn't realized it'd involve socializing. And yet...The game looks fun.

Does anyone want to play against her and her Trainer? ] Cub?

[Lux had been good at RSVPing to the event, but when Ezreal noticed that he had been sat in ass-nowhere with a bunch of people he didn't know or care to know, he made a beeline to the buffet, catching Lux's eye and hoping she got the idea to do the same.]

[It was likely a bad idea to be seen in public along with the man her mother had go on about being her daughter's "future husband," but at the same time, she had a hard time at these sort of functions anyway. The Fon Fabres, Chevaliers and Isleys had been close for generations, so it would be an insult that she didn't attend.

So, instead, she stayed away from the dance hall--who would want to dance with someone so tall anyway--and instead spent her time walking the garden. Robin could either fend for himself, or follow if he saw her. Regardless, most of her time that evening would be spent here.]

[Pamela stops by to greet Michiru and she can't help but be amused at the sight of Lulu peeking at Basil. Especially since Basil seems to be basking in the attention and strutting his stuff a bit. She gives her Roserade a little nudge.]

Well? Come and say hello.

[Well, yes, Basil admits the polite thing to do would be to introduce himself to this lovely lady. He should say hello to Michiru while he's at it. He follows his trainer as she approaches.]

Michiru. I'm so glad you could make it. This must be Lulu. Congratulations on her evolution.

[Basil bows politely and holds out his flowery hand to ask Lulu if she'd like to dance.]

[In the past, Pamela's been awful about attending social functions that weren't hosted by her best friends. She usually claimed to have too much work and got out of them because her parents didn't care enough to make her go. Then they realized that she was of age, and stopped considering research an acceptable reason to miss out on so many events. It's her mother that attends nearly everything.

But since this is her own party, she's doing her level best to mingle. Of course, that doesn't mean a nice retreat to the gardens isn't in order now and then. She feels the most comfortable out in nature, and as it so happens, there are guests out here enjoying some fresh air, so she's not even neglecting her duties as a hostess.]

[When one noble throws an open party, of course its good manners for Alice and her family to attend. More talking with others, especially on recent events in the world and business. She, along with several others, listen to the Onix story, yet Alice slipped away from her father's side to try to mingle with the crowd.

Of course, she has to go off to the side on the dance floor to help adjust Weise the Kricketune's little bow tie.]

There we go. Father wouldn't be happy if you weren't looking presentable, Weise.

[He just hums in agreement, making a small tune out of it.]

[Nate isn't one to go to parties very often, but the invitation was to everyone, and Timburr drug him along in an effort to be social. So, here's one trainer, looking absolutely lost several feet away from you, Alice

Luckily, everyone realized it'd be a good idea for Axew to abstain from coming. Timburr, however, was being surprisingly charming for a Fighting type carring a plank of wood around everywhere. He looked at Alice and smirked, approaching her with a small bow of respect to the girl and her Kricketune]

[Cordelia turns with a smile, giving Pamela a bit of a bow. She had to show respect for the hostess and birthday girl, after all.]

Thank you for the invitation. I was surprised, especially since I haven't had much presence among Chevalier family affairs.

She's a hard worker, so I can't claim all the credit. [Michiru gives Lulu a slight nudge. The Grass type looks up at her Trainer in confusion for a moment, before she flushes a bit and returns that bow with a little curtsy of her own. She'll extend her own hand b-because maybe she would like to dance. Yes.

And Michiru is hiding a smile behind her hand and pointedly not looking at the two Pokemon.]

Gardens

[This is exactly the sort of function Lute's mother had been hoping he would attend when she sent him to Union to strengthen diplomatic ties. But she probably expected him to mingle or socialize like a normal person. Instead he's in the garden with his Kirlia and a big thick book.

...Which they seem to be using to identify the various flowers. Neeeeerds. At least they're having fun.]
