What: Showing off Pokemon and evolution!

That's a pretty cool Leafeon, Chester. [Today was one of those rare days off for both of them. No Rangers or Swords for Cress or Chester, so what are they doing? Girl hunting, exploring, getting in some of that well needed 'me' time? Nah- they are spending it training! Like.. usual..

Cress is here with his Honedge, Magikarp, and new Charmander. While Chester brought new shiny Leafeon and his Pidgey.] Does it know any rad moves?

[Charmander looking up at Chester from between Cress's legs, she seemed to like it there. His Honedge watching the Magikarp like a cat to a fish blow as it lovely swam around in a near by pool.]

[Chester had begrudgingly let Cress drag him out to the Habitat for the day, at least eager to let out some frustration. Between being injured on the island and the lull in activity for the Rangers, he's been inactive and bored. That, and he was eager to see what his new Leafeon could do. Adjusting his bow across his back and Apple on his shoulder, he stretched a little.]

I don't know yet. He was sleeping when I found him, then he just followed me back...

[Shuu'u the Pidgey is already flying around above them, looking for bugs and things to hunt while the Leafeon in question, Shouha, stands at Chester's ankle and looks around. It's blinking sleepily... why are they here so early?]

So you're not sure? [He's using that tone again, Cress sound eager to find out.] What about a battle, you know, in good sport?

[He's totally not jocking up on you, man.. except he kinda is. Even if he loses, Cress is always eager to teat his skills against Chester. Training with your best friend who only equals you in strength will only make you both grow as trainers -- or whatever the appropriate term in Union is now.]

He's a low level! I know that much.

[He nudges Shouha off his foot gently, leaning to pet his head.]

It wouldn't be fair.

[90sbangs]

... Aww.. How low?

[Maybe.. if Gungnir was gentle..]

We're here to train, remember?

Well... fine, have Vorpal fight him then.

Shouha, is that okay?

[The Leafeon looks over at the Magikarp and smiles, looking mischievous suddenly.]

I think he's fine with it.

[90sbangs]

Vorpal...? But- [He looks over to the poor guy.. when is he going to evolve? Cress has tired so hard.. at least he seems happy.]

That doesn't seem fair.. So only if you agree, after 3 minutes, Shouha and Vorpal both get a helper Pokemon.

[aniiue]

... Okay.

[He nodded, looking up at Shuu'u. Shouha jumps out into position!]

We'll do it. Double Battle with a 3 minute handicap. Ready?

[90sbangs]

Yeah.. [He looks down to Vorpal, brows arched, Cress feels bad for making him fight and yet the fish looks so eager. Chester is obviously doing this because he knows he can win.. and yet Magikarp still wants to try. Cress has never had such a brave Pokemon, giving him a warm smile.] Ready? I'll make sure you're okay, bud.

[There wont be any need, Cress, just you wait.

The Magikarp is giving a pool of water to fight over while the Leafeon stays on the land above, it's a large open platform so they are equally matched.] Try a tackle!

[Cress always get so into Pokemon battles, the static from his Enlightened abilities always sparks between his fingers and fists. It's nothing to noticeable but if you look hard enough you'll see it.]

[Shouha jumps up, dodging right around Vorpal's tackle! Shuu'u flies down, perching on Chester's shoulder to wait to see what happens.]

All right. Shouha, tackle! Don't tell me you're slower than that floppy thing.

[Speeding forward, the Leafeon knocks into Vorpal hard.]

[Vorpal flies back into the water with a shriek in pain, he seems to have taken a big hit from such a little attack.] Vorpal!!

[Cress is obviously worried, but there is no need to.. for a glowing light comes form under the water...] Vorpal..?

[He calls out but no answer, that is until the fish emerges, now fully evolved into the large sea-dragon he was destined to become.] Holy-! [He gives a fierce cry at the little leafeon.]

[Chester stumbles back as the water splashes out over the shore, all of them being soaked with water. Luckily, Cress's Charmander isn't present.]

Woah! Woah, hey, look at it!

[Shouha... cowers back, shaking the water off his fur before ducking in behind Chester with a squeak.]

H-hey, don't give up...

[90sbangs]

VORPAL!! [Cress cheers for him, almost jumping for joy like a child. All of their hard work was paying off!] Just look at you, you're huge! [The sea dragon leans over and gives Cress a snuggle, still whaling in it's own way.. Seems this Pokemon can't make out it's name.]

Aww, Chester, it's okay. Maybe you should forfeit. [Cheeky in his reply, arms behind his head, grinning like crazy. It's nice to one up Chester from time to time, they guy needs and ego deflation every so often.]

[aniiue]

... We won't!

[Chester is way too bullheaded for this. He huffs out and Shuu'u flies off his shoulder.]

Shuu'u, use Brave Bird!

[90sbangs]

Hey! Chester, that's not fair! You said three turns.. or minutes.. It hasn't been either. [At least not three minutes of fighting, evolving doesn't count!

Vorpal? He takes that Brave Bird like a power house, yo. Come on, GIVE HIM SOME MORE!!]

[aniiue]

It's a caveat for your Magikarp turning into a giant sea monster.

[Hmph! Chester's pride won't take this lying down. Shuu'u shakes himself off, flying up to kick up a powerful gust of air.]

[UGH! Chester, Vorpal could really hurt Shuu! What does he think he's doing? The little bird isn't doing much the the huge dragon.. taking hits like a pro but the natural temper deep inside is building up.. he's going to bite!]

AAH! Chester call off Shuu, we forfeit! [He's not going to let that poor little Pokemon get hurt because of someone's pride! That's not worth it, not at all.]

[aniiue]

... Tch.

[After another valiant attack by Shuu'u, Chester finally calls him back.]

Fine. I won't count that as a victory though.

[90sbangs]

[Sighs, gosh Chester do you always have to throw a fit like that? Come one, there is other ways around this..] What about Charmander? Shuu could fight her if they are both up to it.

[Knowing Chester will let this rot if not tended, he needs to win or lose fair in square. Cress feels the same honestly.]

[YES HE DOES BECAUSE HE HAS TO WIN.]

That sounds more fair, yeah.

[Duh, Cress your suddenly Gyarados trick was totally uncalled for.]

Let's do it.

[Charmander stands up to the pitch!] CHAR! [Prideful, hands on her hips.]

[aniiue]

[Shuu'u flutters down, not too worn out from the Gyarados "fight," strutting a little. Like trainer like Pokemon it seems.]

All right, let's go!

[Shuu'u kicks up a Gust!]

[90sbangs]

[Flamberge tires a Ember but the ashes only fly right back onto her!!] Charrr!! Char!

[Running about trying to avoid them.]

[aniiue]

I never saw a Fire Type afraid of fire before.

[Chester, don't nag. Maybe Flamberge doesn't want to get her pretty bow all burned up.]

Piiidg! Pidgey!

[While Flamberge is running from the fire, Shuu'u dives back in to Tackle the Charmander.]

[That's exactly it, you ass!]

Chharrr! [Smack-! Getting hit head on by the tackle only to lose control of her own fire attack, when Shuu was close she leaves out a puff of ember while taking the birds attack.]

[Shuu'u tries to shake it off, rolling in the air a little to stop any fire spreading on his wings. He's looking pretty beaten up though.]

Be careful! Use Gust!

[90sbangs]

[The Gust hits Flamberge pretty hard, Shuu isn't the only one taking a beating..] Char.. Char...

Flamberge! Are you okay?! [Cress can't help but feel worried.. Shuu normally isn't this aggressive but neither is Flamberge.]

Chhharrrrr! [Suddenly, a burst of light. Not again!!]

[aniiue]

Shuu'u! Watch, it's...

[The Pidgey looks determined, flapping his wings hard and giving the evolving Charmander another harsh Gust before he starts glowing as well! Chester stares in awe at the two changing Pokemon.]

They're both... Cress, they're both evolving!

[90sbangs]

Again?! Whow...

[HECK YEAH! This is friken awesome! Three Pokemon all in one day.

Charmander is soon a Charmeleon.. giving her first deep roar after the light bursts off her. She gives Shuu time to finish as well, excited, no longer interested in battling!]

[aniiue]

[Pidgey gets bigger, and soon a Pidgeotto is flapping his huge wing span happily, doing a few rolls in the air before landing in the grass and giving Flamberge a little dance of excitement! They did it too, just like Vorpal!]

Looks like they're happy about it... Good job guys.
