Hey, hey, guys! I have a surprise!

Regardless, Maya seems stupidly excited, and from her lap she produces a baby eevee, stubby baby legs and all. It whines a little, wiggling, before wagging its tail.]

Look at this little guy! Isn't he cute? He hatched Sunday.

[Two small shuppets slip to peer over her shoulders. Jealous? Never. Shh.

Maya pats both of their heads before turning back to the camera.]

Iiii just don't have a name for 'im yet. And I suuuper don't know what I'll have him evolve to, since there's no ghost type for 'im. [SIGH.]

Ah, well. Anyway-- What's up with all of you guys?

[She reaches forward to end the transmission before Shi pops up behind her, tugging on her hair to stop her.]

--Oh! Right! Um, I'm still-- we can still schedule channellings if anyone's interested! Y'know. Ghost stuff? All that jazz? Right. SO. Talk to me!

[ It's Roxas' warpband but it's Sora that is peering into the screen because since he used to be one himself he wants to see the baby Eevee! Roxas doesn't even try to push the Sylveon away from the screen despite it being on his wrist. Instead he's just leaning back to allow his Pokemon to get a good look. ]

There's a psychic type.

[ Suggesting that because that's Maya's other type he remembers. ]

[The little eevee, upon seeing a near-relative on the screen, wiggles and wags toward it. Holding him firmly so he doesn't knock the band over from where she's set it on a shelf, Maya lets him get a good look.]

Yeah, but I heard he's got that 'charm' move, too. That's fairy type, right? So if he wanted, he could be-- that one. Sylllveron? Syl... whatever that is.

Sylveon. That's what Sora is.

[ Sora waves one of his feelers both in response to what Roxas said and to wave at the baby Eevee and Maya. Hello! ]

Right! Sylveon. I was close!

[The baby pats at Maya's watch as best he can, intrigued by those feelers.]

What do they do? I've never really seen a lot of fairy types.

Resists Fighting, Bug, and Dark. Immune to Dragon. Weak to Poison and Steel.

[ Probably not the info you're asking for Maya but being dark resistance might be of interest!

Meanwhile Sora tries to play with the baby Eevee through the warp band. At last... to the best of its abilities. Perhaps a little game of peek-a-boo? ]

...Well, that's impressive.

[She's hella interested in that dark resistance. She and all of her pokémon are pretty weak to it, after all-- and Maya doesn't like battling much or running into trouble, but trouble always manages to find her...]

But, I mean... what are they like? What kind of moves can they use?

[The baby eevee seems absolutely delighted by the game, impressed by sylveon's ~~mahou shojou~~ ribbon-feeler things. Sylveons must be great babysitters.]

[ Hmm.. how to answer. ]

Sora uses his feelers to show how he feels a lot. Can also help calm others with them. Can learn Fairy moves like Dazzling Gleam.

[ He can tell you more but little at a time. What are actual paragraphs yet. Sora continues to play peek-a-boo with the little Eevee while it's delighted with the game. Wheeere's the baby. There he is! ]

...Hey, Roxas. What's your favourite thing about Sylveon?

[Even if she's a little frustrated, you couldn't tell. Maya at least knows to be gentle here. There's no need to get loud about it.

The eevee squeaks with every peek, wiggling and near chirping in Maya's lap. It's all Maya can do not to giggle about it.]

[ Something is better than nothing ]

I... I'm just glad Sora is still Sora.

[ Sorry Maya. Maybe try again when he's actually has done some battling or something?

Sora is having just as much fun as the Eeveeas he continues to use his feelers to play with it through the screen. Imagine how much fun this would be if it was in person! ]

And... What is it about Sora that makes him Sora?

[Maya's not about to give up so easily.

The eevee, however, is completely blind to this conversation. Sora's the best. what a cool tiny video-friend. So small.]

What makes him Sora?

[ That's .... a question Roxas never thought about. Though really he never thought about much until recently. ]

His kindness. He's really gentle too.

[ Conversation? What conversation. Sora is here making a friend with a baby Pokemon and right now it's the greatest thing ever! ]

[Now they're getting somewhere! Maya tries not to look too excited.]

And... what's he like to do? Looks like he likes taking care of other pokémon, right?

[Maya's eevee sure agrees! He's having so much fun with Sora. Maya's making a good mental note to let them hang out in person sometime soon.]

He likes making friends. [ he then nods at her second question. Like to make and take care of friends he meets. Kind of like his namesake?

And Sora agrees with the friend making. What's better than having friends to be with! Especially cute little adorable Eevees! ]

He sounds pretty cool, huh?

So, what do you like to do with him most? Like... battling? Or just han-- um, spending time with him?

Yeah.

Mostly spending time with him. He hasn't done much battling.

[ Just enough to level up a bit and evolve, really. ]

That's still great, though! That's what I love to do best with my pokémon, too.

See? I think you know him pretty well after all.

He was my only friend for several month. I... I would hope so.

[Actually, she's surprised.]

He's pretty special, huh? I'm glad you introduced us! We should all hang out again sometime.

Yeah. I'm glad he's here for me.

[ Sora responds in delight at the sentiment before focusing his attention on the baby eevee again. ]

[ Really he kind of has no life outside of going to school. ]

[ And after homework but shh he might be learning from his brother a little oops ]
