Squid Girl: Unlimited Adventure

Let's get kraken, everyone!  We'll definitely find a safe place to hide from those Team Evolution suckers out here!

[Squid Girl, currently in Inkay form, calls back to Swimmy the Tympole, Kissyface the Luvdisc, and Snack Pack the Basculin as the group of them swim along, swimming offshore from the ocean south of Union in search of... adventure, or something.  She wasn't completely clear on that point.  But her Pokemon are all too happy to follow her, and so that's what they're doing.]

The swimming is somewhat uneventful for the first few hours. Open sea in all directions, and nothing else interesting to see.

Then, maybe three hours in, Squid Girl catches sight of something in the distance!

Land ho!

[Calling back to her group, she motions forward with a tentacle. She wastes no time in finding a natural current to carry them in toward what she hopes is their new island hideaway, pushing off with all of her tentacles to gain speed.]

Last one there's a human!

As she approaches she can indeed see it is an island! It looks tropical, in fact!

She also feels a bit of unease as a large shape appears below her.

U-uh... hurry up, guys!

[Hopefully that isn't what she thinks it is...]

The enormous serpentine head of a Gyrados erupts from the water and blasts a ball of blue flame right at Squid Girl and her group!

[OH GOD NO IT'S EVEN WORSE]

Gyarados! Gyarados!

[Ouch... that flame hurts like heck! Squid Girl swims to the front of her team to try to protect the others.]

You guys get away! I'll hold him here!

[But her team doesn't move, instead forming up around her.]

...You really want to stay?

[And they all nod.]

Okay, then! Let's fight it! Swimmy, Supersonic! Kissyface, use Charm! Snack Pack, try a Headbutt! And I'll protect us!

[Squid Girl herself taps into her Inkay heritage to throw up a Reflect.]

[The barrage of attacks hits the Gyrados, causing it to reel in confusion. However, it's not alone as sharp fins are coming in around it, and begin circling Squid Girl and her team]

No way... no way!

[Squid Girl freezes in place, shivering in fear.]

Please don't eat me! I'm too young to die!

(ooc: I saved up her bonding roll for this week so that she can accidentally or on purpose end up with something from this thread, just as an FYI~)

Four Sharpedo emerge from the water and rush toward Squid Girl, their sharp fangs barred and hungry.

[Okay, forget Pokemon form. Maybe they'll want to eat her less if she looks like a human. Maybe. So she's going to try that.]

Hey, look over there!

[And a poorly thought out distraction technique as she points behind where they're coming from with one of her tentacles.]

The Sharpedo are not distracted! But as they charge in suddenly they're all swiped to the side by a Gyrados tail as Gyrados attempts to shake off its confusion.

Hey, help me out down here!

[Squid Girl calls up to the Gyarados. She can't outswim this many Sharpedo all on her own, so she knows she's going to need some help.]

Let's call a truce!

[The Gyrados eyes her warily, but two of the Sharpedos jump onto it, biting down hard. It roars and starts thrashing around]

Hey, cut it out!

[Shooting out all ten of her tentacles toward the other two Sharpedo, she tries to wrap them up and fling them into the ones attacking the Gyarados.]

You guys help too!

[There is a MIGHTY ASSAULT of Water Guns and Bubblebeams and whatnot coming from her Pokemon team as they join the fray.]

[The Sharpedo back off as the Gyrados blasts several of them away with another Dragon Rage. As they flee, it turns and looks at Squid Girl. Piercingly.]

Ahahaha! U-uh...! G-good job! You're gilly strong! Strong enough to join my inkvasion, for sure!

[Time for some posturing.]

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't devour you, squidling.

B-because! There's bigger threats out there! We should work together instead!

They catch us in these squiddle red balls! It's terrible!

[Squid Girl has bonded with Gyrados! It is level 30]

Great! I'll call you when it's time.

[She's feeling pretty good about this.]

Um... can you give us a ride to that island over there for now, though?

The Gyrados lowers its head.]

[The others can follow along in the water, but Squid Girl's gonna enjoy the ride.]

[Patting it on the head.]

[The Gyrados grumbles and makes its way to the island.

The island is definitely tropical. There's some interesting wood and a bunch of new Pokemon Squid Girl hasn't seen before.

The player plot is completed, go ahead and post the completed thread in the Player Plot post. Squid Girl will additionally get a Good Rod for her part in discovering this new area.]
