Another year, another dousing of glitter...
Who: Anyone!
What: Opening day of the new Union Divine Theater performance
When: 2nd day of Soulfasting
Where: Union Divine Theater
Summary: It's been a year since Darkrai and Cresselia revealed themselves. The Theater celebrates by putting on a romantic comedy about them.
[ If your tastes run to sparkles and flowers more than spooky shivers, and/or you like your frights with a heavy dose of musical accompaniment, why not head over to the Union Divine Theater for their latest masterpiece? An original work by a new scriptwriter, it claims to be the story of a love spat between Darkrai and Cresselia, with subplots featuring a star-crossed Noivern and Sylveon and the mischievous Zorua who seeks to interfere with everyone's plans. What it will actually be is anyone's guess, since no two Divine Theater performances are ever alike. That's part of their charm.
You'll be shown to your seat by a friendly Pokémon and treated to a spectacle unlike anything ever shown in the known world. Try not to swoon in the aisles. The Jolteon usher has enough problems not tripping over his own paws as-is.
THIS PERFORMANCE STARS:
Rise Kujikawa as Cresselia
Takuto Tsunashi as Darkrai
Haruka Tenoh as Count Noivern
Michiru Kaioh as Lady Sylveon
Right Suzuki as Earl Clefable
Sanae Kochiya as Zorua ]
[[ ooc: Pick a scenario below and go for it! There is also a catch-all area for any settings/times not covered by the subthreads. ]]

Woop, woop! Wooop!
[ As Gene the Wooper sings and dances along in the back of the theater, a cloud begins to form over the last few rows. Hopefully no one in the economy seating minds if they get wet!
Rain Dance, you see, is now in effect. ]

What could she do?! She might be able to dislodge the Rain Dance with her own, but even if this was curtain call, it would be bad for them to draw attention! She couldn't just start doing a strange dance by herself.
Looking around as her comrades continued on as if nothing were about to happen, she focuses in on the captain. She could do what needed to be done! But could Sanae?
Taking a deep breath, she found a few beats in the song to quickly move through the dance formation, grabbing Haruka's hand and pulling her hard. To the casual observer, it would seem that the young Zorua wanted to dance. Doing her best to try to direct Haruka's attention as discretely as possible, she looked up at her.
Those people would be wet and upset and Sanae would not stand for it. She had to somehow fix Gene's Rain Dance. So, Captain, were you going to help her? ]

Except there's a shadow in the back and oh shoot, Gene.
A mental nudge to Ferrari does no good; the Nidoking is watching from a cordoned-off area for Pokémon and is completely enthralled by the proceedings. Gene himself also doesn't respond. So. That leaves the girl who's learning to become the rain.
Haruka lifts an arm to try twirling Sanae underneath it, head dipping in as Sanae's neck whirls past to mimic a nibble. You lead. She'll follow. Just get rid of the cloud. ]

A deep breath. 1, 2, 3.
Leaning back in a bit of a faint as Haruka went in, her left hand reached into her sleeve pocket, retrieving her gohei. Snapping herself up again, she led Haruka into a counter spin, passing the other woman the wand. Spinning with her, their backs pressed against each other, she quickly turned them both. Finally facing each other again, she quickly moved her hand into Haruka's, so they were both holding the gohei.
First mission completed. Now for the actual dance.
It was almost ceremonial, the way that Sanae moved the two of them around the stage, and yet she did her best to try to make it seem in line with the general dance number that they were doing. Had she always been so graceful? Even the look on her face was different.
Thankfully, her ploy seemed to be working, the cloud slowly beginning to dissipate, and the situation was probably mostly under control. Apparently rain dances were better made for two. But would Haruka let her keep the lead, or would she, as always, take what notes she had and run with them? ]

Undeterred, he hops back up to try again. Haruka sends a mental nudge to Gold (the only other Pokémon of hers in the area) to go get Gene's attention. They'd better stick together in case that doesn't work, though...
So she dips Sanae. Low. Low enough that if she wanted to try and slide Sanae between her legs and then help her up on the other side, she could.
The priestess may continue her dance without interruptions after this maneuver if she so chooses. But dance highlights usually have a big finish, and the spotlight's on them.
Watch out for Haruka's cape, Sanae! ]

The crowd was eating it up. Haruka was so stunning! And who was this mysterious young actress? As the song leads to its conclusion, Sanae points her gohei out toward the crowd, making one final ploy to dispel the rain cloud for good. It was now or never! ]

[ Gene gasps as his cloud vanishes: not since Caldera's color festival, at which his friend Snor-Lord first entreated him to Make It Rain, has he been taken so aback. The crowd, oblivious, goes wild. And after a moment, Gene joins in. He has no idea what just happened, but it was amazing! ]
Woop! Woop! Woop! Woop!
[ It's at this point that Gold arrives to herd the Wooper outdoors before anything else happens. Haruka exhales, then reaches for Sanae's hand. If she can grasp it, they'll be swinging their arms up and then down into a low bow, worthy of a headlining actress.
The show must go on! ]

W-what was going on? Were they standing? WHY WERE THEY STANDING? Snapping up to a standing position again, she looks over the house in surprise and disbelief.
...At least Gene was happy, and the crisis was averted, right? Even still, she had no idea how to react. Her brain was rebooting, give her a moment. ]

She keeps the pose until the cast and crew are both hidden from the audience's view, then sighs in satisfaction and squeezes Sanae's hand. One night down, and water damage kept to a minimum. And a standing ovation for the new kid. Not bad. ] That's that.

Ohmygoshtheywouldn'tstopclapping.
[ Sweetheart slow down no one is going to understand you. ]
no subject
[ Just not maybe high art. But even Haruka's opinion of the average Divine Theater script can't keep her from grinning at Sanae. That was impressive. ]
no subject
T-t-talent? Me?
no subject
[ She turns to go, but....this is probably a little mean, isn't it? The play meant more to Sanae than it did to Haruka. So she turns back and gives Sanae a sincere Senpai Smile. ] You did well.
no subject
T-thank you!
[ Okay, this was definitely on her list of best days ever. ]
no subject
Actually, Natto is standing here with pens and...ink quills, too...for those whose characters it suits. Which would you like, Sanae? ] Van?
no subject
Huh? Blinking a few times, she looks over to see Natto, holding what appeared to be either pens or feathers. ]
Oh, right!
[ Time for your feet to finally touch the ground again, Sanae. She smiles at the Leavanny, taking a pen. ]
You're always looking out for us, aren't you? Thank you.
no subject
[ The gratitude pleases him, though. As far as Natto's concerned, this theater, the people and Pokémon who live there, and these performance nights are the best things in the world. ]
