[ There was a long discussion in the Chevalier household when they found the letter. Cordelia was far more worried than she would ever let on. Who was this "Miss Saber," and why did Rin feel it necessary to sneak off like that?!

The two adults discussed what they would do for quite some time, well into the evening. When the young magi finally made her way home, she would find that the lights in the main room were still on. Should Rin attempt to teleport her way into her room and avoid facing her guardians altogether, she will find a small addition to the note she left, in Cordelia's handwriting. ]

Please come downstairs. We wish to speak with you about your outing today.

[ Should she try to avoid that as well? She'll find Aura, Robin's Espeon, sitting peacefully on her bed as sentry. ]

[ Rin should have been home by now.

It was nearly nightfall, and the young magi was nowhere to be found. Cordelia was beginning to worry. What if something happened to her on her way home from the library? No, no, that wouldn't have been the case. What could have happened to her on her way home? Robbers, perhaps? Or worse! Her mind began to cycle through all the myriad possibilities of what could have gone wrong as she continued to cook their meal for three.

So when the door finally opened, and the Eevees quickly rushed toward the door, the redhead perked up. ]

Rin? You're home late, where were you?

[ She did her best to not sound worried, quickly moving to greet who she assumed would be Rin. ]

[Robin steps into the door]

Not Rin, alas. She is not home?

Robin...

[ She deflates a bit. ]

No, no she is not. I have not seen her since this morning.

Troubling. Has she left any messages?

Nothing that I could find.

[He goes into her room and returns, holding a letter]

Where did you find this?

Her room. If she's going to sneak out we should at least teach her the courtesy of leaving it in a more easily accessed place.

This Miss Saber. Is she someone you know?

I don't, unfortunately.

[ Of course. She frowns deeper, sighing a bit. ]

Should we go look for her? What if something happened to her?

For now, we have to trust that she will remain safe. That said, this will not be without consequence.

[ Cordelia plops down into a chair, at a bit of a loss. ]

Do you think this is something we have done? Why would she run off like this without coming to us first?

Would you say you would have done something like this at her age?

Of course not! I would never go out without permission!

I suppose you are a bit more rule abiding, that doesn't actually surprise me. Rin is quite willful, and I suspect she sees rules more as suggestions than dictates.
