Good morning, Union. I would like to remind everyone that with spring in full swing and summer just around the corner, to not only make sure to test yourself and pokemon for allergies, but to ensure proper hydration so as to not suffer from heat exhaustion or worse still, heat stroke.

These are very serious matters!

Signs of dehydration are:

Dry or sticky mouth
Exhaustion
Dry skin
Headache
Dizziness

Now please note, these are just the first signs of dehydration. Severe dehydration can cause much worse symptoms and be far more dangerous. Please be careful as the weather gets hotter!

This is true for your pokemon as well, even your fire-types and ground-types pokemon. Always have a glass of water just before bed and a glass of water when you first wake up and with every meal.

If you have any further questions or would like to schedule an allergy test, please let me know or ask away. I am quite content to answer them as best I can.

Oh, the pleasure's all mine. But yes, you're quite right. I suppose it's too much to ask for people to stop getting so excited about the weather that they forget to keep their fluids up as they should, but at least the information's out there, as it were.

Well, I know you tend to have a higher number of people visiting in the summer because of how cool it is in the library.

All the same, I hope you will heed the advice as well, Baggins-san. While I would happily be your medic, I would rather not have to at all.

Believe you me, after you've gone to all the trouble I don't have any intention of ignoring it. Although - dear me, you've reminded me I must start getting ready for the summer rush. Between one thing and another I'm rather more behind than I should be in my preparations this year.

You did not! I'm glad I could be of assistance. So is she able to fetch things at your request or is she still trying to find things for herself?

Well, occasionally she'll still go out looking on her own when she thinks I've let my guard down, you know, but I think she's come round to the idea that it's much easier for her to get her claws on things when she's fetching them on my say-so than otherwise. Honestly, I think she's starting to enjoy the challenge of finding where I hide things.

Well, if you want to give her a real challenge, perhaps you should have her try to look for specific book titles within the library.

Ah... perhaps I ought to shelve that idea for a later date. Erm, pun not intended, as it happens. I'm not sure she's entirely ready yet to treat books with the respect they deserve.

Ah, perhaps that is true. Her breeds claws are notorious for a reason. I take for granted that Athena and Minerva have a much more careful grip as accuracy and stealth are part of the way they hunt.

They're your... Noctowl, correct?

Yes, that is correct. They are... much bigger than Murkrows, I admit. Minnie is actually bigger than your average Noctowl for females.

Ah. The average size being--?

The average Noctowl is about 5'1" to 5'3" but Minerva is about 5'6" to 5'7" depending whether I want to count her tufts.

My word. Larger than me, then.

And me. But Minerva is a bit sensitive about her being bigger than an average Noctowl, it tends to discourage male Noctowls since she's even bigger than them. Still, I think she's wonderful at her bigger size. More of her to love, as it were.

Hm, I see what you mean. It's a pity she feels that way about herself, for all that I don't think I'm personally cut out for raising larger Pokemon.

Well, I've somehow found myself with an abundance of them. A lapras, dragonair, and two Noctowls, to name just a few of my bigger pokemon, but they're all very sweet.

As well they ought to be, given their trainer.
