19 [Video + Action] - Post-event
[Video]
[On screen, Feliks is all bounce and cheer, dressed up in his nice clothes for the first time in longer than he cares to admit, smiling so much he's literally sparkling.]
Gods, how weird was all that? Does anybody know what the whole deal was down there? 'Cause I don't know about the rest of you, but my team saw some pretty crazy stuff! [That's a bit of an understatement, and he is trawling for more information with this post, but he's not one to dwell too openly or too long on the big things.]
It kinda took a bit out of me and Jadwiga and the others, actually! So we're gonna be around the city for some R+R for a little while. We'll see how long it takes me to slip past my grandparents again after all the running off I've been doing. If anybody's up for, like, shopping or a drink or some serious gossip or something, hit me up.
[Action: The Forest Shrine]

[He might smile and flutter for the camera, but Feliks hasn't been his best self lately, and coming face to face with the godly embodiment of death itself...]
[Well, he's not quite sure what effect it's had on him.]
[On the one hand, maybe it was good. It's been a long time since he was so powerfully aware of his own will to live, of how much being a part of the world still means to him. He's been forced to think about the people of Union and worry about them again, and that's probably not a bad thing, in the end.]
[Part of him almost resents it, though. It's selfish of him, but he doesn't want other worries and other obligations tearing him away from trying to get back that one important thing he lost.]
[How is he supposed to live, and get the most out of life, without giving up hope that they're out there alive somewhere?]
[He's not quite sure why he came to the Forest Shrine, other than to try and find someplace quiet to be with his thoughts. A shrine seems like a good place to think about gods, anyway, right? And with his fire typing, the forest is generally pretty safe for him to walk around alone.]
[He lies down in the grass on his back, and looks up at the long branches and their new leaves, and thinking himself free from prying eyes and the need to put on a show of being perfectly fine, quickly loses himself in thought.]
[Alternative action: Around the city]

[Feliks is going to be spending a lot of time in the shopping district (and a little time at Teeter's) over the next few days, if you'd like your character to encounter him around town!]

Action, let's go with the feels option.
Hopping down off the icy titan, she waves it on and lays down beside her friend, silent for the moment.]
Feels it is!
[Well... He could put on his usual act, but there's something a little comforting about the thought that he doesn't have to. Yuuna was there, after all. She probably felt it, too, even if she didn't see. And she knows what he's already been going through, and how reckless it's been making him.]
...Hey.
no subject
Hey.
[How do you even start a conversation like this?]
no subject
...How's your girl?
[She'd been though that terrifying experience, too, after all. Seemed only right to ask.]
no subject
Merrill's fine. She bounces back from most things really quickly. She's...been all twittery and excited to get out exploring since we got back honestly.
[Merrill was enthusiasm incarnate, really.]
no subject
[What else can he say? He goes quiet again, fiddling with the grass between his fingers, mindful not to let out any sparks as he does.]
no subject
[Silence is never really ideal, especially not when someone needs to just...talk...]
How're you holding up?
no subject
[He thinks he can be forgiven for that being the best he can say, right now.]
That was... pretty intense, though.
no subject
[She lets out a long, slow breath, tired just thinking about it.]
Must've been worse for you and Merrill though. Bela, Martin and I all know what it's like not having powers.

[She strokes her Warp Band, still glad to have that.]
I'm the one that got sick about it, remember?
no subject
[Like, morally, but on a level that felt visceral. Obviously to her, too.]
no subject
[And that was the truth, someone had.]
Frankly, I don't mind the gods coming by to test us, but I mind them hurting my friends a lot.
no subject
...But Jadwiga's still a little shaken up.
no subject
[None of hers are pleased either, but the one that's bothered the most is now happily floating in the lake, feet kicking, his head barely poking out. Definitely just an ordinary iceberg, yep.]
Humans were the ones that messed up, 500 years ago. Not our friends.
no subject
I guess.
no subject
How's the family?
no subject
no subject
They didn't say anything about well...what happened?

[He avoids home even when he's in the city, because it just turns into arguments about how he's neglecting his responsibility to the city to run off after the shadow of a boy he shouldn't have been dragging his reputation through the mud with to begin with. His patience is a limited thing in the best of circumstances, and he has none of it left for that.]

[She'd definitely had dinner with her daddy. Ryo had been more than happy to listen, and he and her sisters and brothers had marveled at the tale, but...never pushing. They were smiths, and she was doing something else. That was just that.
The life of an artisan...]

[That's really the crux of the issue. They want him home, and he can't give up. Even though now he's torn about it, wanting to protect home, too.]
