013 // video + action for mountains; action - outside the theater
[ Video ]
[ Here’s a few faces that have been scarce the past few weeks, looking slightly different. Perspective makes it hard to tell, but Haruka appears to have gotten even taller. Meanwhile, Michiru’s smile seems even more effective than before. And from the way she’s pushing her hair back, it seems to have gotten longer as well.
Both remain stunningly attractive - maybe more so than usual - but that could also be a trick of the light.
Haruka gets right to the point. ] We’re heading out for a while. The theater’s picked its next script, so we’ll hold auditions once we’re back. It’s open casting this time. [ She smirks. ] Prepare to impress me, little Skitties.
[ One might catch Michiru rolling her eyes a little before the video cuts out. ]
[ Action - Mountains ]
[ Michiru seems to be satisfied with taking a more passive role in this particular training exercise. In fact, she’s sitting by the side, poring over an ornate looking hand mirror. A small Noibat buried in a cloak, a hat, and tinted glasses sits firmly in Michiru’s shadow.
Haruka, on the other hand, has somehow gotten her hands on a glowing scimitar. Her Ninjask buzzes around them, ready for agility training. ] Faster!
[ Ninjask whirrs. Haruka swings the sword, and an arc of light shoots from it. Ninjask dodges, returning right back to position as soon as the arc whizzes past, attention fully on Haruka….
...even when there’s a crash from below. Haruka sets her jaw. If she’d known Bagon liked to launch themselves off high places, she wouldn’t have brought a baby one to the Mountains.
Look out below. ]
[ Action - Union; outside the Divine Theater ]
[ Are you a Pokémon passing by the Union Divine Theater today? Then you - yes, you!! - get called to by a bright, happy voice. ] Woop wooooop!
[ The Wooper in question stands atop a wooden box, flanked by a Nidorino and a Jolteon. The latter holds a poster covered with various blue and grey smudges. And from the blue and grey paint still smudged on him, he must be the artiste.
Once Wooper gets a passing Pokémon's attention, he begins an impromptu dance. Hello! Do you like plays? He wants to put on a Pokémon play! You should be in it! ] Woop woop woop!
[ Nidorino strikes a pose too. ] Ri.
[ Can't say no, right? ]

Haruka-san, Michiru-san, if I may inquire, did you both evolve?
[Video || Private]
[Video || Private]
[Video || Private]
[Video || Private]
Oh? [looking over at her partner. She might not be quite as proactive after getting pummeled by rocks. Up to you.]
[Video || Private]
[ As opposed to the normal experiments in private.
Anyway, back to Ami. ] We're in the Mountains.
[Video || Private]
[Video || Private]
[what's a few experiments amongst friends?]
[Video || Private]
You'll know the spot when you see it. We'll be waiting.
[ With the way things have been going....it's the ledge whence the baby Bagon is going to drop right onto your head. Very easy to find. ]
[Action]
Minnie was rather used to flying Ami to the mountains, at this point. Ami looked for the pair of older women before spotting them and landing onto the ledge. The giant Noctowl ruffled her feathers, used to the cold as she adjusted to Ami's temperature. Ami gave a small bow in greeting to Haruka and Michiru.]
Hello, Michiru-san, Haruka-san, I hope I did not keep you waiting too long.
no subject
[and she's looking up and smiling at Ami. A shy Noibat sitting in her lap takes one look at the giant Noctowl, and then hops off to hide in Michiru's shadow.]
no subject
[ Don't mind the baby Bagon toddling over behind Haruka, and then looking up, and then falling over, and just staring at Minnie with awe in her eyes. That thing flew. ] Baaaaaaag.
no subject
Well, what have you done so far? I can go from there?
no subject
Michiru gets up, dusting herself off.]
There is also the matter of a couple of items we found. [and she's holding out an ornate hand mirror to Ami. It's positively brimming with Psychic energy.
The Noibat peeks around Michiru's leg, still silent.]
no subject
There are a pair of stubby arms reaching up for your head now, Minnie. Flying thing looks soft. ] Gon.
[ Haruka isn't handing over her sword, but she does shift it so it's more in view. To answer the question with something less literal: ] We haven't really tested power yet. Mostly range and speed.
[ The vegetation was a casualty. ]
no subject
Ami, meanwhile, got the hint not to reach out for the items even as she examined the sword, trying to understand what she could of it from just what she observed.]
Then shall we put them to the test?
no subject
Why not? [though unless you have a Pokemon that can throw up illusions, she's going to assume you're talking about the sword]
no subject
Haruka figures she therefore doesn't have to worry about children wandering into the testing grounds. She readies her sword, keeping it out where Ami can observe it. From the way it gleams, it's definitely enhanced with the Fairy type. ] Name your target.
no subject
[Ami held out both of her hands and a massive block of ice about eight feet high and four feet thick made a half-circle around Haruka and Michiru. Meanwhile, Minnie was pulling Bagon closer to gently nip and cuddle with the little pokemon.]
Haruka-san, if you are able, would you please slice only the top of the half-circle, maintaining the arch of the ice?
[If the sword could make a clean enough cut, then the ice would only be separated and not shatter into multiple pieces. Making Haruka aim for the top would put her at a height disadvantage, even if she jumped up.]
no subject
Have you studied enough, dear?]
no subject
[ ...Hm. Haruka steps back too, the better to look at her target. Discipline and precision. It figures this particular tester would open with that.
She smirks. ] Who's showing off, again?
[ Seriously, that's a lot of ice. Well done. But Haruka supposes that since they asked for this, she might as well try - it'll be good to have a more accurate weapon than her usual attacks.
Sinking into a crouch, Haruka exhales slowly, getting a sense for the sword in her hand, the dormant energy she can feel within it. Without rushing herself, she brings her arm back over her shoulder - then whips the sword across her body. A sparkling arc of light shoots out of the blade, slicing through the ice more or less where Ami'd indicated.
Maybe that's not what Ami meant. But it's something this sword can do. ]
no subject
Ami, however, merely blinked and then blushed, pressing a hand to her cheek. She hadn't really thought of the issue. However, she watches the blade and the ability of it. She can actually see the movement of air around it, the minute shifts of current. Air based and light? It was clearly cutting through the air rather than acting as a physical beam of light.
She watched the ice, cut as she mostly asked, fall off and she reached out, changing it's property into water and just letting it splash to the ground rather than shatter and cause any harm.
She pushed up her glasses and made some mental notes.]
Alright, so physical matter poses no problem, we can continue widening the width and height until we reach it's limit, but it would be interesting to see how deep you might be able to cut into something a bit more dense such as rock.
Or we could test something more fluid, water, perhaps?
no subject
She takes a few steps back, raising an arm. There's that familiar tidal surge of water, and then she's shaping it into a mirror of the ice wall Ami had made earlier.
Looks like she's using her Psychic powers for this, judging from the faint light in her eyes.]
itt: michiru invents waterbending
Either way, here comes those light-based attacks again. They have more trouble with the water - a few slice through, but are noticeably slowed down, and one bounces off (startling Haruka's Ninjask out from wherever she'd been hiding). Haruka turns the sword over in her hands and frowns. Looks like she'll still be leaving everything liquid to Michiru. ]
no subject
Curious. I wonder if it cannot cut through because of how the wall is maintained, or because the water's state can absorb the attack? [She'd have to figure out the difference and see if Haruka could not fight against psychic moves.]
