Action
[Winter's last chill has almost passed. Light and warmth are returning to the land. And, of course, love is in the air. All over Union, happy couples walk hand in hand, eating Luvdisc-shaped chocolates and enjoying other candied novelties and various expressions of sappy sentimentality.
But of course, every February also comes with the lonely, the heartbroken, and the very recently dumped. Chie happens to fall into that third category, and while she's mostly made peace with it and doesn't really blame Maki at all, she's still feeling mighty glum on a day mostly filled with couples enjoying each others' company. She's kept largely to herself about things with the exception of a recent girls' day out with Yukiko, not wanting torain snow on anyone else's parade, but today she feels just a little bit like self-indulgent moping.
And so, she can be found lying down in a snowbank in one of Union's parks, just reclining on her back and staring up at the sky thoughtfully. She's not dressed for the weather at all in a tank top and shorts, but being half Ice type, this isn't the sort of weather that bothers her at all. She lets out small sighs every so often as she lets her mind wander in thought, utterly blind to the fact that the light snowfall that eventually starts is localized entirely to the area right above where Chie is lying. She also doesn't seem to have noticed that her skin has turned blue.
It's not frostbite or hypothermia or anything of the sort, but a very quiet evolution brought on by zen-like contemplation while surrounded by one of the elements composing her natural typing. She evolved for the first time while engaging in strenuous physical training - a nod to her Fighting type - so perhaps it's only appropriate that this time it's immersion in the Ice element and quiet thoughtful solitude that triggers Chie's second evolution. Either way, she'll be lying there in the snow with her thoughts for a while, so anyone who happens by can see the effects.]

late as heck but OH WELL
It only takes a second for her to recognize the other girl, and she cocks her head to one side.]
The hell's wrong with you?
[Despite the phrasing, her tone is almost conversational.]
it's cool yo
Nothing... just thinking about stuff.
no subject
[Junko please. The rudest. Still, it's more teasing than bitingly insulting, and she crouches down to be more on Chie's level as she continues.]
Really, what stuff's so intense it makes you lie around in the snow like a dumbass?
[Arashi gives a little 'growf' of greeting and agreement. Snow is damp and cold.]
no subject
My, uh... my girlfriend broke up with me last week.
[She knows it probably sounds stupid and looks even stupider, moping in the snow like this, so Chie just looks at Arashi instead.]
no subject
Arashi doesn't care, being a cat and all, but he's more than happy to pad over and shove his dumb head under Chie's hand, purring in that rumbly thunderous way. Junko sighs a little, raking her fingers through her striped hair before speaking up again, a little more subdued.]
That sucks.
[She's not going to apologize because when does she ever but hey, it does. She tucks her hands into her lap, peering a little closer at Chie even if she can't meet her eyes.]
You're not gonna do anything stupid, though, right? Like let yourself get frostbite because you're all overcome with emotion and wanna be all romantic and dramatic.
no subject
Yeah, it does.
[It's okay, 'that sucks' is a form of commiseration, so she'll take it. She shakes her head at Junko's question, waving a hand in front of her face.]
Huh? No! I'm an Ice type, I won't die from something like this.
no subject
[She would if she had to, but caring too much about a Sword of the Savior would just completely ruin the aloof rebel thing she has going on. She cracks a grin, but it's smaller than usual, less fanged. Arashi, of course, is very pleased with pets and attention, walking circles around Chie and bumping his head into her hand on every pass.]
This holiday's bullshit anyway, don't be too upset.
[Honestly this is probably as close to comforting as Junko is able to get right now anyway. She's trying not to be as insulting as she could be.]
no subject
[Chie, on at least some level, recognizes that she's being a little bit melodramatic today.]
I'm almost over it. It just hurts a little to see all these happy couples walking around eating Luvdisc-shaped chocolates together so soon after something like that, you know?
no subject
[For being so blunt, she's at least realistic. Her tone isn't unkind, and she grins a little as she shoves her hands in her pockets.]
But fuck it, you know? You don't need an excuse to eat candy.
[With a little flick of her wrist, she tosses a couple random pieces of chocolate to Chie. Or really more at Chie; if she isn't paying attention they're probably gonna bonk off her forehead and into her lap. Stolen treats: not that Chie would know just by looking, but she's apparently trying to be sort of nice for once.]
no subject
[Chie isn't really watching, so the candy does indeed bounce off her head. She doesn't seem to mind beyond being surprised, though, and she even smiles a little when she picks up a piece.]
Haha... thanks. Chocolate always makes things better.
no subject
[Another narrow smirk spreads across her face, but it's not quite as fanged as it could be, nor is her voice very biting as she replies again.]
You're welcome. Even dumbass no-fun-police get chocolate.
[Arashi chirps his agreement, and Junko tilts her head slightly, still grinning.]
It's Chie, right?
no subject
[Chie laughs a little, unwrapping the chocolate and popping it in her mouth.]
Haha, thanks. And yeah, it's Chie. Chie Satonaka. I... don't think I got your name before.
