Well, things look like they are back to normal. For now, anyways.

[With the rustling in the trees and the sounds of various Pokémon wandering around, mostly the chatter between a Pikachu and a Sandshrew going on.]

This is mostly important to my fellow Rangers, but just giving the heads up that I am going to be outside a little longer than usual. [And her kind of usual is pretty damn long.] I heard a few things and need to check on a Pokémon who is also... an "old friend", guessing that's the right term. Edan will make trips to Union with my reports, but I'll be back before dark.

If anyone needs me, just give me a call.

[It's no surprise to anyone if Quinn is more outside of Union than she is inside. When Edan returned after making an delivery to give her superiors her daily work, she gets on the move with her team. Edan on air support while Jasper and Kaia walk on the ground next to her. They are on the search high and low for something while they are doing their patrols.

[Very sharp ears, indeed. She signaled her Pokémon to stop so she can investigate the brush.

Kaia is already poking her nose inside the bush right before Quinn carefully push the leaves out of the way to find the source.]

[A... rather familiar Rufflet head darts out. It looks like it's about to peck Quinn in the face before it stops, recognition flickering across its face.

Quinn will note its right wing is bloodied and mangled, and there is some strange steel device with a flickering red light shackled to its left leg.]

[The face, the structure, the species... She backed up in time before she got pecked, but she did get a good look at him. Tt's like she is back in the past again with meeting this Pokémon on a daily basis before he flew out of Union. Here he is, only with a wing damaged and something around his leg. She would assume that he got into a fight with the forest locals, but the device speaks otherwise.

This Rufflet. It's definitely him. She leans forward, attempting to carefully pick him up and out of the bush without causing pain to his wing.]

Hang on, let me look at that thing on you leg.

[The Rufflet is breathing heavily, it looks like it is exhausted and has been bleeding reasonably heavily, so it is a bit disoriented. It's amazing it managed to recognize Quinn at all.

The device locked around its leg is pretty interesting technology, it's hard to say what its function is, but there does seem to be some kind of transmission coming off it, judging by how your Warp Band is responding. It also appears to be heavily secured, it may need to be sawed off in order to be removed.]

[She understands that there is some transmission, but there is nothing really on her that can cut steel. She was hoping that there was a slot that she could lockpick, a button that she could press, but nothing.]

Edan, dig into my bag for some bandages.

[The Fletchling did what she asked, crawling into her bag and literally pushing out any medical related items she currently has with her, mostly the bandages along with a cloth to clean up some blood and disinfectant gel. Fair enough to stop the bleeding, which she does get to work on that wing.]

I don't think I can remove this thing, but at least I can fix your wing.

[As Quinn examines the wing, Valor shrieks in pain. She notes it appears to be infected. It isn't all over the wing, but it is going to need immediate medical attention to save its wing.]

S-Sorry! It will only be a second!

[Not the greatest doctor in the world, but she learned the basics and know how to treat some wounds, this including broken/damanged wings. She should really talk to him to figure out what happened, but that wing needs attention right now. Cleaning the blood off, using the gel to help with the infection, wrapping it up tight yet there is breathing room. It's a start to help fix this wing.]

[Valor attempts to squirm a bit but submits to the ministrations without too much of a fight]

[Even with the squirming, she manages to get the wing cleaned and bandaged completely. It will take a while to completely heal, but with time and changing the bandages often, he should recover well.

Oh, she should really try to ask how in the world Valor got that thing around his leg and fucked up his wing. She can talk to Pokémon after all, so communicating with Valor should be easy. Even if Valor is hurt, part of her is still so glad to find him.]

Can you tell me what happened, Val?

Valor turns its eyes down.

I see. Anything else I should know? [With someone injured, she can't really go out far to investigate right now. She sighs a little bit.]

I'm just glad that I found you before you lost your wing for good. I will get someone to figure out how to remove that thing off of your leg as well.

Valor considers for a moment before shaking its head wearily and resigning itself to being carried.

[Yup, carrying and giving all the comforting pets she can give for her best bird friend. The other Pokémon are concerned as well, but Quinn is doing her best to stay calm and keep herself under control. Even if Valor never met these Pokémon before, it's clear that they will help her just like she helped them.]

Rest up, Val. We can go after those men once you are better.
