The Labyrinth of the Full Moon
With the thick mists upon them and people being hurtled between worlds, Union was certainly abuzz with rumors and concerns. Much had been tried, but nothing had managed to willfully bridge the gap between the world of dreams and the world of mortals. But on this night, a sense of anticipation was palpable. Something was going to happen. And, at the stroke of midnight, something did.
The moon, which had stood gibbous in the night sky, suddenly became full. Shining a gentle beam of light down onto the earth, its reflection shone clearly and brightly upon the nearby lake. And here it would stay. In the morning, no sun rose. The sky remained dark but the shine of the moon lit the city of Union in an eerie glow.
Those who travel to the lake shrine will find that where the moon shines, the waters have parted. A sturdy stone staircase descends into the depths of the lake, with moonlight shining upon it like a spotlight.
Those with the courage to enter will have to step into the darkness. Once their foot crosses the threshold they will find their world turned upside down as they are overtaken. When they awaken, they will find themselves besides some companions, perhaps known, perhaps not, and surrounded by a shimmering haze, an enormous maze of shifting walls and colors with no end in sight.
Welcome to the Labyrinth of the Full Moon.

[Tohka, Norman, Melaka, and Eren]
... And immediately finds himself tumbling, descending into darkness, disoriented. When he and his Pokémon regain consciousness, they find themselves in the labyrinth, with two people he doesn't know and one he does]
... Melaka? Where are we?
let's rock
[ But she says this as she's dusting herself off, stretching. She was thankful to not be in the Dream World and she was also quite thankful to not be on "standby" anymore. Her division being told to go and explore what's up with the lake allowed her an excuse to come here, and she's pleased with it. But...
It's also a confusing thing, now that they're down here. She looks around to see if she can see anything ]
no subject
When she gets up, she just sort of glances around curiously. Look at all the pretty colors! Meanwhile, her two Pokémon currently with her...don't look quite as pleased. Trogdor the Charizard puffs smoke from his nostrils as he glares at everything, and Shuck the Shuckle...well, you can't see his expression with him wearing sunglasses.]
Wow, this is so neat!
no subject
[Norman had woken up a moment or two before, filled to the brim with bad vibes. Where ever they were it couldn't be good. At his side are his two pokemon, Romero the Duskull and Hopkins the Hoothoot.]
[He gets to his feet, dressed in the Kurain school uniform, and pats himself off. After getting a good look he frowns deeply. ]
...I might know. Maybe. Because I'm not sure where else we could be.
no subject
[ This guy's int he Kurain, right? Channeling? If it's got to do with spirits (everything seems to this month, jeez) she might as well ask. Perhaps a bit harsher than she needs to be. None of her team is out now, but she starts to fiddle with her warm band, trying to see if this place is still within ranged to pull out anyone of his main team. Slugger? Yeah Slugger'd make the most sense here. ]

[Matilda nods in agreement and whips out a pair of sunglasses from her "pants" and putting them over her eyes. Dark types and disco do not get along well.
Eren himself glances at Melaka. "Screw up?" he mouths. Then he shakes his head] Two Rangers in a group of four is plenty. As long as you both stick with Melaka and I, we'll keep you safe. I'll stay in the front and Melaka can cover the rear. It looks harmless, but we don't know what's in here.
[Eren unsheathes his water-enchanted Skarmory feather sword and pauses when confronted with a choice. Neither of them seem particularly better than the other. The straight path is straight, but there's some sort of mirage]
Any ideas?
no subject
[That said, she pulls the enormous sword off of her back, the lines in the blade glowing blue as she holds it. The sword and armor are not just for show! She's just going to glance back and forth between the two paths.]
We could flip a coin or something.
no subject
The one there has a corner or something, other one doesn't end. Could go for the one with a turn, see what's on the turn, get back if we need'a.
hurk sorry for the late tag.
I've never seen it before myself, but this place could be the spirit world. So... probably dangerous.
[He frowns at the two paths.]
If whatever brought us here lets us go back.
no subject
As they come to, they'll find the maze is gone. The scene before them is strange. What was once a forest full of thick, tall trees is a graveyard of stumps, strange silver towers littering the horizon. The sky is hazy, and a strange smell hangs heavy in the air. Strange sounds echo in the distance.
Breaking up the odd scene, a Pachirisu scuttles past, futilely digging for food. It looks scared, constantly checking around before going back to digging.]
no subject
After checking to see that everyone is still in one piece, he gets to his feet.]
Great. NOW what.
[the Pachirisu catches his attention. Normally that'd be so something he'd eat, but maybe he could get some information about this strange stump forest from it. He calls out in Pokémon]
Hey! You, little guy. Do you know where we are?
no subject
But it was something new! Wow much conflict, such indecision.
Okay okay okay okay talking to the strange pokémon voice now, Pachirisu can do that!]
I don't know where you are!
[It sniffs at the air a bit, skittering closer, and flicking its tail before standing up on its haunches. That's when it sees them, staring directly at the group, freezing in place. No... No no nononononono it's those things! Those human things! Gotta run gotta run gotta run! Back to the trees!]
no subject
Ooooh, it's so cute!
[No, why is it running?]
Wait, come baaaack!
no subject
Nooooo leave me alooooone.
[Unfortunately for Pachirisu, it's a bit... dull, we'll say, and not very good at losing people. It leads the group deeper into the forest, where they will get the overwhelming feeling that they are being watched.
It draws them into a glade, the trees naturally forming a ring around it. The grass here is greener, full of life, and the trees lining the edges are covered in moss and growth. Flowers bloom here, ones they've likely never seen before, and the air is fresh and pure. The feeling of being watched intensifies, although there is no malice there.
Pachirisu stops as it is pursued into the clearing and turns toward them, little chubby cheeks full of panic. Its tail bristles and it makes hissing sounds at them.]
no subject
...
Also she doesn't speak Pokemon this is so babies. ]
Why're we after a mouse?! [ She's after Tohko, herself. Breaking that back formation a little, but she's trying to make sure she can keep her eyes on Eren and, perhaps more importantly, the kid. But now they're in... some sort of magic flower bed?! ]
no subject
Because it's the only living thing around here and I want to know where we are! You guys stay back, I think it's scared of humans.
[the feeling of being watched is very unsettling, but Eren is focused on the task at hand. He follows the Pachirisu into the clearing]
Hey, calm down. We're not going to hurt you. Promise. The humans with me are nice. Now can you tell us where we are?
no subject
Pachirisu eases up a little bit, but still doesn't rule out the thought that Eren belongs to one of the humans there. Still, blade bird is really freaking cool Pachirisu is definitely a fan. It looks around a bit before its tail twitches and its body relaxes.]
Home. Humans aren't supposed to be able to find this place. The Master said nobody can find this place and that we'd be safe from the humans here.
[Realization hits, and it hisses again, electricity crackling around its cheeks.]
You're here to hurt the Master aren't you?! Just like the other humans!
no subject
No one. That's who. Everyone wishes they were as cool as Eren. ]
No! Hey! We're not here to do anything to any Master! We're just lost, I swear.
[He turns back to his comrades and tilts his head]
Do any of you have some food or something...? This little guy is paranoid as hell. It's also saying something about a "master".
no subject
Much to her chagrin, Melaka keeps back, making sure that she adopts as defensive of pose she can near to Norman (and maybe the screw up Sword too) ... Well, as much as you can when you don't know where the threat is coming from. Or, frankly, if thee even is one. The world around them had shifted and she could feel there was something else going on here. But she can't place where it's coming from. her Donphan is similarly on edge, straining it's nose and ears for his boss.
But then Eren speaks up and- ] Oh, yeah, 'course.
[ She always has berries on hand. both for herself and for her pokemon. And so from a pouch on her hip, she produces two aspear berries (hope you like sour) and tosses them over in Eren's direction.
Catch? ]
no subject
Sadly, she doesn't speak Pokémon, so she has no idea what's really going on. She's just confused. Thankfully, Eren sheds some light on the situation.]
...huh? I don't see a master anywhere.
no subject
That would be because you rely to heavily on your eyes, and not your other senses.
[The forest shimmers, and a large cervidae creature steps out from thin air.]
Master!
[The creature tips its head down, climbing through its horns and settling on its back. It tries not to get berry juice on its master's fur.]
I see there is some... interesting changes to this piece of history. I have a feeling I may know the reason, to which case I may need to have a word with a certain... Lunar goddess.
[Pachirisu looks excited.]
You mean mama moon psyduck?
[The god pauses.]
...Yes. I suppose one could call her that. [It clears its throat.] I suppose your people have gotten involved in their quarrel, then?
no subject
I uh... We're not sure what you're talking about, actually. Quarrel?
no subject
Oooooh. Quarrel...that's like a fight, right?
