003 ♪ dream event

[kakuto]

[Among the chaos and all, there is this dream. Entering this dream and there is lights and colorful decorations. It's a very happy atmosphere.

Also there is a lot of cat Pokémon wandering around. Espurrs, Skitties, Meowths, and Purrloins. And their evolutions are there too, sitting at the tables in front of a large stage and wandering around. There is a lot of food in this dream too, ranging from ramen to sweets. It's obvious a show venue.

The cat audience cheers as the curtains open up, and there is Rin. She is wearing a flashy outfit and Bal, her Hitmonchan, is wearing a matching tux with her. She bows, her smile so bright as she nods towards towards the side where there is Lala, her Reuniclus, sitting in front of a piano with a band of other Pokémon. The music starts to play.

And Rin starts to sing in front of the decorated microphone. Dancing along with her Hitmonchan in a fun dance to match with the song. Both showing so much energy and happiness.

Right as the song ends, the cats cheer again. Rin and her Pokémon bow, waving towards the crowd. One thing for sure: she seems way more confident in herself and very much happy.]

Thank you, thank you-nya! I hope you all enjoy the show!

[Afterwards, Rin could be found playing with the cat Pokémon or her own Pokémon. Or backstage staring into a mirror while looking at her outfit. She tilts her head, looking a little lost in wonder yet doubting herself. Bal just takes her hand into his glove, patting it with the other in comfort.]

Bal... Am I really cute? Is this for me?

[Bal get out a soft "chan" in response, obviously trying his best to keep Rin's spirits high. She tries to give him a smile yet it seems like something is bothering her. Like there is some of the audience making fun of her during everything.]

[ And waiting backstage is Maki, somehow holding a bouquet of flowers for Rin when she comes back. How she got here she doesn't know, but that was certainly a performance, and Maki can only feel a little jealous of how cute Rin looks in her costume, as well as how much fun it looked to be out there on stage singing for a crowd, real or not. ]

That was amazing Rin. I'm really impressed. Have you always wanted to do something like that?

[She wasn't expecting anyone to come back here, but she's happy to see Maki. Well, it's her dream so of course people she knows would appear in them. Right?]

This is so new to me... Hanayo really loves the musical and contest life and it never really hit me on trying it before. I was just planning on supporting Hanayo when she starts doing that thing.

[ Maki wasn't expecting to be here either, but this is hardly the strangest thing in the world she's seen. At least she's not made into a princess or anything! She's really proud of Rin right now though. ]

You a natural Rin. Are you sure it's only Hanayo's dream?

[ She's just going to go inside the dressing room with Rin, handing out the dream flowers to her, looking away from the other girl blushing. ]

I-I'm not sure where these came from but they are for you.

Mhm! I guess my head decided to step into Hanayo's shoes.

[Her face lits up at the flowers, blushing as much as Maki is when receiving them.]

[Her smile does get a little sad.]

I always thought I was uncute to do this sort of thing, so I was just going to help Hanayo out without getting too involved... People just never saw me as a girly girl and when I try to do something cute, they made fun of me.

[ Maki thinks to tell the other girl to put them in water but...its not like they are real or anything! ]

It seems more like you've been dreaming about this more than she has. It will be hard for anyone not think of you as cute when they see you singing in that outfit.

[ When it comes to other people, Maki is all about helping, even when she needs more than a little help in her own life. ]

[Nozomi had time to tug at her skirt a bit in the hallway before confidently walking into the dressing room. She smiles with a bit of a smile. So this was the kind of dream Rin had?]

[She looks at her own skirt, blushing a little at the compliment.]

I don't even remember the last time I wore a skirt! I threw most of mine out long ago.

Some didn't fit or look good on me anymore and the others is when a Pokémon got to them as a toy or vomit cloth. [Rin.]

I'm just not too used to wearing these sort of clothes now.

[Rise doesn't think she recognizes this girl, but she definitely recognizes the setting. Although the cats are new. She finds herself backstage after watching the performance.]

A lot of girls have this dream, huh?

Becoming a performer wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but that was pretty fun...

[Oh, isn't this girl a star? Rin remembers hearing her voice before, but can't pinpoint when or any other details.]

I know a bunch of other girls who would love being in this dream.

I think I do too.

[She sighs.]

This is the best part, definitely. Actually getting out there and doing something.

Mhm! All that singing and dancing washed away all of my worries! It was really fun... And people didn't make fun of me for how I looked!

[Or so she thinks... and wants to believe.]

[During the concert, Hanayo finds herself right up front, cheering as loudly as she can manage for her friend. Afterward, she heads backstage to congratulate her, but pauses for a moment in the doorway when she hears Rin talking to her Pokemon. After a moment or two of debating whether she should say something, she takes a tentative step into the dressing room.]

Rin... of course you're cute.

[kakuto]

Hanayo...

[Of course, Hanayo knows of the struggles she went through long ago, ones that still stick to her like annoying glue. She used to Hanayo's comfort yet she always smiles when she gets it.]

Did you see me sing, Hanayo?

Was I not supposed to...? I didn't know you were interested in that too.

No! I mean, I guess I thought about trying it once, but since it's your dream, I was only going to support you through everything...

I'm not really sure.

[Nico was impressed. Like, really impressed. She'd just written this girl off as a meathead with too much enthusiasm (and a cute mannerism that totally wasn't anywhere near as good as hers though) but seeing her on stage... maybe it's because it's a dream, but she really sparkles up there with a talent and energy that even Nico can't deny. At least, not until after the performance is over. So as impressed as she is, it's just irritating to hear Rin doubting herself when she goes backstage to meet her.]

You know, the first part of making that kind of outfit work is confidence!

Still... I'm not cute like you are. You would be nyamazingly cute if you were in this outfit!

[Rin, this is your dream, don't boost Nico's ego when she doesn't need it.]

W, well, that might be true... [WAIT, NO, STOP DERAILING HER] But don't doubt me - you looked great on stage! You just always need to be that confident about it, okay?

I haven't worn something like this forever! I'm still trying to get used to it, even if all that singing and dancing around distracted me from it...

[This is the kind of dream Kotori can enjoy! a happy mood, lots of cute outfits, music and fluffy pokemon. The young girl watches the performance from the backstage like most other visitors but unlike them Kotori seems to have managed to acquire a friendly skitty during the show and now pets it eagerly.]

Miss, that was a lovely performance!

[She would clap but, you know, feline in hands.]

[A quick push away with the doubts and Rin is smiling, holding her Hitmonchan's hand and swinging her arm lightly.]
