[Be glad the medium of video does not come with the extra bonus of smell, because the scent of burnt feathers is definitely nothing for the fainthearted. Nonetheless, the fact that Fai is a bit singed is pretty visible, and he looks rather rueful about life in general.]

Today, children, we have learned that overcoming your fear and bravely doing something you kind of want to do but that you're also terrified of doing is not always a good thing.

That is to say, sometimes you're scared for a very good reason.

[A rather vexed looking Floette is flying around him in circles, several vines protruding from her flower and appearing to try to soothe the singed patches of his skin with wet towels.]

Or, to put it another way, if you're severely claustrophobic and also a Flying type? Don't venture into Magnet Cave just because you're really curious, okay? This brought to you by the lecture I'm sure I'm going to receive on the subject pretty soon.

Well, it mainly consists of me having a panic attack and my pokémon friends having to transport me out of there, and also possibly me crying, but there is no accounting for taste.

[He's smirking a bit wryly when he says it, though, so he is obviously kind of amused on his own behalf too.]

Well, that sounds like absolutely no fun whatsoever. If you'd ever like company in braving Magnet Cave, I'd be willing to join you.

[Fai grins and shrugs, because honestly, he's not good at sulking about things for too long. ~~Unless it's serious, because then he can sulk forever~~.]

That's probably because I left out the part where I was repeatedly zapped by a number of Magnemites who I swear to the Savior were giggling at me. That probably looked pretty funny.

Oh, and now Dotty flies into things around me because I confuse his homing instinct will all this electricity still clinging to me.

[He makes a soft, amused little sound.] But thank you. Though I think I've had enough of caves for a while now.

Oops. I'd have liked to see them giggling while lightly zapping, although preferably at the expense of someone neither of us like very much rather than you.

[The mention of Magnemite is enough to make Pamela's fly into view from behind her. It tilts itself curiously.]

[Despite his previous misadventures, Fai smiles at Pamela's Magnemite and raises his hand in a small wave - and then winces a bit as he agitates one of his burns.]

You are very right about that. I might suggest it to Feliks for his next prank against my uncle - because I'm pretty sure there will be one. Though regrettably he doesn't have the same weakness against them as I do.

Wouldn't that require getting your Uncle to the Magnet Cave in the first place?

[Admittedly, it would still be funny anyway, but. Logic.]

You'd think so, but I'm sure Feliks would come up with a plan involving a really big net, a lot of PokéPuffs, and... I don't know, rubber suits to avoid getting zapped to death.

Not that I would mind terribly if we just dropped him down a hole.

[Who is bitter? Not Fai, oh no. Okay, maybe a bit. He misses visiting home, but he refuses to go there right now because of said uncle.]

I'm sure that something could be arranged involving some sleep powder, a Rapidash, and taking away his warp band...

[With that devious grin on her face, it's hard to tell if she's kidding. She is...mostly. Fai's uncle is a jerk, though, so she can't say she'd feel too bad if the man happened to be stuck wandering around in the wild for a while without the luxuries of home.]

Sometimes you can be so positively wicked, Pamela, it's rather delightful~. [Fai laughs, but he kind of means it. It's enjoyable to spend time with people who don't always feel obligated to be entirely nice.]

Sometimes I feel like something like that would be good for a lot of pompous asses like him. Just a little reminder of how lucky they really are. Nothing like being lost in a cave or maybe being up to your knees in a bog to jog that sort of memory.

I'm nice the majority of the time. Occasionally, someone deserves some less than kind words. Your uncle is one of those someones.

I think it would have to last for a few days to really drive the lesson home. I suppose the fairest thing would be to at least leave them with a book on which plants and mushrooms were poisonous and some clean water to drink.
