[Action - Union Divine Theater]
[Forward-dated to 10 am because it's Saturday, dammit.]
[Oh, the glorious weekend when there isn't a show on. Rise rolls over for about the third time before she notices that something's not...fitting right.]
[It only takes a second or so of investigation to discover something terribly wrong.]

Wh-what in all the gods' names?!
[Fast forward a few minutes of despair, staring into the mirror, and more despair, and Rise's decided that her first priority is getting out of her pajamas.]

[Anyone at the theater this morning can be treated to the sight of Workaholic Ponytailed Ranger Asemu Asuno "sneaking" very obviously around the building while dressed in a fluffy pink nightgown and checking for unlocked doors on Haruka's room, Ruby's room, or if push comes to shove, costume storage, followed by an extremely bemused Gardevoir/Blissey duo.]
[Audio - locked to Asemu Asuno]
[Later...]
ASEMU!
[Here's hoping the Warp Bands work correctly and go to the right guy.]

action
That doesn't mean it's empty, however. In fact, somemon is in the walk-in closet; Haruka inherited Ogami's old room and, being the commander's quarters, it's nice.
Plus Michiru has a lot of clothes. This mystery individual is humming to themselves.
Approach? ]
no subject
[Rise's gotten used to being able to reach out with her mind and guess who's waiting for her over the past nine months. Unfortunately, she's walking into this with that sense completely blinded, so only the humming warns her that Haruka's either somehow here or left a Pokémon behind.]
Uh, hello?
no subject
[ A head pokes out and - oh, hello strange person in his Trainer's room while his Trainer is gone on a trip. Leavanny stares for a moment, then lifts the jacket he'd been mending to hide half his face. You didn't see him!! ]
no subject
[Oh, it's Natto.]
Um, hi kiddo. I was just...needing to borrow some clothes?
no subject
...Wait. This is the time when a good Pokémon needs to defend his trainer. Now is the time to be brave. He lowers the shirt a bit. ] Vanny leava!
no subject
Um, hang on, I know it doesn't look like me, but I'm Rise. Remember, I live here?
no subject
[ Rise? He knows Rise, but she's got....
Setting the shirt aside, he reaches out to pat the sides of her head where pigtails are supposed to go. You're missing something! ] Vanny va.
no subject
[Her pigtails are her identifying feature as a woman? Thanks Natto.]
I know I look different, but it's because something weird is going on right now, okay? I need to borrow some of Haruka's clothes.
no subject
[ Natto draws himself upright, looking Rise's new body up and down. He almost seems more affronted by the fact she wants Haruka's clothes than by the fact she'd been breaking in. You - but - the proportions -
Hold that thought!
Another moment, and he's dashing off down the hall so fast an actual cloud of dust kicks up in his wake. Haruka isn't the only person who usually lives in these rooms who gets tunnel vision when assigned a Mission.
Pursue or wait? ]
no subject
[She sighs.]
Better follow him...
no subject
By the time Rise catches up, there's a lamp lit in the costume room and someone is making rooting-around noises. ] Vanny. Van. Van.
[ Smaller men's clothes...smaller men's clothes....that could pass for modern streetwear....He might have to get creative, but he spends a lot of time in here! This will be a good test of his abilities. ]
no subject
A costume? Well, it beats these pajamas, but...
no subject
How about this? This tunic and these breeches are a bit out of style, but if you put this vest over them you'll look dashing instead! And he's pretty sure the theater has shoes in your new size, too. Those are in this box.
Natto seems to know the entire costume room already, but he's very good at folding things and putting them back when he's done with them. Try those on! ] Leavanny vanny! Vanny lea.
no subject
Um...thank you! I was just looking for something that wasn't for girls, but...
[Well, might as well try it on. And keep eyes carefully parallel to the floor while doing so.]
no subject
Tell him when! ] Leavanny.
no subject
Hey, this isn't bad!
[She turns around to look at the hastily-assembled outfit.]
Maybe not what I'd dress Asemu in, but way better than what I thought we could do with costumes.
no subject
no subject
Thanks, Natto. You've been a huge help!
no subject
....gosh, he hopes his Trainer's okay....If you're good, he'll head back to Haruka and Michiru's rooms.
And wonder whether Trainer will look any different before getting distracted by more clothing. ]
Audio
Oh!
[That voice sounds nothing like Asemu's. It's way too high-pitched.]
Rise? Please tell me that's you! I was just about to call you myself!
Audio
[Fortunately, Rise has enough logical skill to have been expecting her own voice if she was speaking in Asemu's. Unfortunately...]
...wow, do I really sound like that? I always thought I was way lower pitched when I was speaking.
[For Savior's sake, Rise.]
no subject
You did? Well, I guess it kind of sounds like it when the voice is coming from you...
...but is that really what you wanted to say?
no subject
No, I wanted to ask you what the heck happened! Why am I you!?
no subject
What? Why would I know that? I've never even heard of this happening before!
no subject
Well you're the other person involved! Where else would I start asking?
no subject
Yeah, but I've never even heard of something like this happening before! Ever!
no subject
[She takes a deep breath. Wow, even that felt different.]
This is really, really, really uncomfortable.
no subject
Yeah, I think so, too. What do we do, and how do we do it? This is going to be really awkward.
no subject
Well, aside from both of us dressing with our eyes closed if you know what's good for you...
[She tried when she did it. Honest.]
...I don't even know who to ask.
no subject
Wha--hey! You didn't need to give me that kind of warning!
[Like he would have done it any other way. And he's filling the bathtub up to chest level before taking off his clothes and getting in, thank you.]
Maybe the council will say something? I-I can ask Dad to bring it up!
[Trying to change the subject!]
no subject
Oh crap, I hadn't even thought about telling my family about this.
Maybe I should just hide for...however long this lasts.
no subject
But then they'll worry about you, won't you? Would you really want to put your family through that?
no subject
Wellllll...to be totally honest, I'm kinda bad at keeping in touch anyway. I've been more or less on my own since I started on the radio, you know.
no subject
...Oh. I'm sorry to hear that.
no subject
Oh hey, don't get all dramatic about it. It's not like they disowned me or anything, I just...have nothing in common with them.
no subject
Even so, you only get one family. It's always sad if it doesn't work out.
I had two tabs with your conversations open at once oops
Hey, you're worrying too much again.
Anyway, that's not really the most important thing right now, right?
Yeah, that confused me initially.
Ah. Sorry. I guess it isn't. We need to see what we can find out about what's going on.
