[ Action ]
[ Hotaru's ditched any and all babysitters, watchers, Divine Defense Force members, etc. to head out into the city. Anybody out and about in the city might find her, actually going around in her human form, along with a way-too-high-level-to-be-unevolved Litwick, a baby Eevee, and a Solosis.
Where is she going? What is she doing? Well, she seems to be hitting up book stores and libraries. Not looking up anything actually useful, but instead.... cookbooks? Yeah, she's browsing through every cookbook she can get her hands on, and might even be purchasing one or two of them at each stop. By the afternoon, she'll have a small stack that she's carrying around with her on her search for more.Never let it be said she isn't dedicated.
And then, by mid-afternoon, she's stopped by the Pokémon habitat to lay out on the grass with her new cookbook collection... ]

Hello. Um, I'm not sure how to ask this, but... does anybody know where there's a kitchen I might be able to use? I want to surprise my guardians by cooking for them, but I've never cooked before.... I'd like to be able to practice without them finding out. [ So the kitchen where she lives is out of the question.
It isn't longlike a few seconds before she regrets making this post. ] ....Sorry. There's probably not anywhere like that, is there? [ And it's not like she has anybody close enough to ask to borrow their kitchen. Maybe she'll just ask at the cafe...

You could try making them cookies! Cookies are really easy to make.
[ Says the girl that burns hers to a crisp. But, Usagi's never been a very good cook so... ]

[ Small pause. Then- ] What are those, exactly? [ Sorry, Usagi, Hotaru didn't have a normal childhood. ]

She'd have at least figured the people at the theater would have made some and offered it to their actors... WHAT KIND OF THEATER WAS THIS?! ]
You don't know?! [ Hold on, Usagi's going to quickly stumble around her room and then pull out a plate of delicious chocolate chip cookies that
she stole from the kitchenher mother made for the afternoon. ] These are cookies! Made up of deliciousness and takes no time to make!video;
Hotaru, at least, seems to vaguely recognize them. ] Oh, I think I've seen people selling them out in the city. [ Bakers and in restaurants and stuff. Actually, don't they offer those in the Chansey Café? She thinks they do. ]

[ She says that, and then stuffs a whole cookie in her mouth to chew. Mmm. Sugar. ]

Of course they are! [ Nomnom. ] They aren't just any cookies. My Mama made them with lots of love and care! That makes these the best cookies ever!

And I'm sure that Michiru and Haruka would be able to tell if they knew how much work you put into whatever it is you make them.
