Enter the Citadel
The Citadel is truly an incredible structure. It is built into a living tree, its trunk immeasurably vast. A massive network of ladders, ropes, and boardwalks crisscross the entire breadth of the tree. As you ascend, a whole city lies nestled within the myriad branches.
For those that are here to visit and explore, the Valkyries, acting on the command of the Matriarch, will allow you passage through the city. There are many open air markets within the branches, with all kinds of interesting jewelry, clothing, leatherwork, and other interesting items. Union money is not currently accepted, but if you have goods to trade the Valkyries are more than happy to barter. There is also an open-air arena where Valkyries are constantly sparring and testing each other’s strength. These are open to all who care to come, and are usually quite exciting. Many of the Valkyries move with a grace and speed not normally seen among other Earthkin or Enlightened.
Those who are here to recover the citizens and speak with the Matriarch will find them quickly escorted into a building that lies within the heart of the tree itself. Entering a massive hall, they will see the queen sitting upon a throne shaped of the living tree. It’s dark and comfortable, with lanterns emitting a strange phosphorus; flameless lights line the area, and the glow of the room is decidedly green.
The Matriarch is flanked by a contingent of 8 female guards, holding spears and wearing leather and wood shields strapped to their arms. They’re standing at attention and the group of Union citizens are standing to the right of the throne, unchained but calmly watched by the guards.
“So you’ve come. I trust we can discuss our Pokemon problem at greater length?”
[OOC Note: This is a post for open tagging and tagging with the Matriarch. This is ultimately to plan for the final confrontation, which as I imagine you have all been able to guess is with the powerful Pokemon that the Valkyries have described. Sign-ups for event end can be found here, and the post can also be used to plan. Additionally, we are amending our timeline slightly to give a bit more time for people to plan. As such, the final leg of the event, confronting the Pokemon, will open on July 30th at midnight EST.]

"I guess I should get to the point, no sense in dragging it out. I know you said that it sort of seemed to show up out of nowhere. Well, has anyone from your tribes found anything strange?"
He's not sure, maybe it was looking for something. Maybe someone stole one of its eggs or something, who knew.

Sometimes the people of another land have their own history and folklore. My grandpa used to tell me stories about Union and the Savior, is there anything that might tell us something about what's going on now?

[But he's trying to rack his brains. If the valkyrie didn't do anything, nothing was taken, no legends at all to go by that would possibly help, then what could it be? It doesn't seem like the valkyrie had ANYTHING to do with it at all. But giant pokémon don't go on a rampage for no good reason, do they? There's got to be something that wasn't here before that might of caused this all to happen suddenly.]

I suspect much of his information is incorrect. A few Seekers have made forays out here but we tend to avoid them or turn them away. We've no need for them.
