[The music is lively and the taps are open and flowing freely at Teeter's. It's a fantastic place to unwind after a long day of running errands. Hawke's got a table to himself where he can watch the dancing and keep his puppy pack contained and out from underfoot, away from the other patrons.

If he sees a familiar face, he'll wave and extend an invitation to join him.

If he sees an unfamiliar face, he'll pretty much do exactly the same thing, because that's how he rolls.]

[Anders arrives a bit later than planned, but he's immediately making his way towards Hawke. He's even smiling, before sitting himself down next to him, absently reaching under the table to pet whichever puppy is closest.

Actually, there seems to be a puppy in his lap now. Oh well.]

[Only like. An hour. But this is Anders, here. Hawke's just come to expect it.]

I'll get you something to drink, since your lap is full.

[And even as he says that a Houndoom head appears from beneath the table, chin on one of Anders' knees. Hello!]

[Earscratches for the Houndoom as well, then. Just don't tip the table over, you're not as little as you used to be.

Anders smiles at Hawke.]

I'll get the next round.

[He won't tip the table over! He's getting used to being this big!

...The fact that his tail is so much longer than it used to be, however, is still taking some getting used to. Luckily, Captain is a pal and sits on it for him before he can cause any lasting damage to the flooring under there. >.>]

[And Anders is already convinced that this evening will end with accidentally wrecked furniture, but oh well. He could probably use an evening out, couldn't he?

I'd say I won't be going anywhere, but your pack is keeping me here anyway.

[Hawke grins at that, and leaves him to the tender mercies of The Pack. Captain and Scout are pushing their faces up on either side of Sergeant's now, in order to say hello. They know better than to try to jump up in here, though.

It just takes Hawke a few minutes to return with a pint of something cool and frothy in each hand.]

Here you go.

[He plunks one of those down in front of Anders before sitting back down.]

[Well. This seems like a safe environment to drink in.

Anders is happily petting and greeting the puppy pack, though, letting them nose at his hands, though dodging tongues when he sees them. He likes the puppies, they're a good bunch, and reliable. Too bad he didn't think to bring treats.]

[He'll turn his attention away from them once the drink is in front of him, taking a swig instead and focusing on Hawke.]

The puppies subside, though, when Hawke comes back, and rearrange themselves under the table so that as many of them as possible can curl up on his feet once he's seated. Even Eevee and Paladin abandon Anders' lap to rejoin the puppy pile, since the humans are now eating. Well. Drinking. Same difference, according to Hawke.]

No, why? Is being alone with me that tiresome?

[Like anyone can ever be 'alone' with Hawke with his five tagalongs.]

I was just curious if anyone managed to be even later than me.

[And because the puppy pack doesn't seem to be the only pack Hawke is building. Anders actually likes being alone with the man, though, so he's not complaining.]

If someone wanted to be later than you, they'd really have to work at it.

[He's just teasing, obviously, as he lifts his pint to his mouth for a drink.]

It's just us, tonight.

You could have used the warp band.

[Teasing or not, he still feels a little bad. Hawke has been a good friend to him, and he doesn't deserve to be made to wait so long.]

I'll buy the next few rounds, to make up for it.
