[Estelle Bright made an important decision: she wants to learn to race Pokemon. Ah, but she doesn't know how to do that, really. Should that matter, though? Most things in life can be learned with a little elbow grease, a little determination, and jumping right in! She decided this was true of racing.]

[Nevermind that she has been in this situation before. She will master this situation!]

[And thus she's on the back of Karna, her new Skiddo, as it charges down the streets of Union! It bolts down a busy one, a hairpin turn executed, and she grabs for dear life. She's not steering as much as just holding on, and occasionally yanking it in a direction with its horns.]

Look out, look out--sorry! Coming through!

[And she's loving it.]

WOOOOOOOOOOOOO~HOOOOOOOOOOOO!

No, no, no true meaning of pain, we're not attacking!

[But neither is Karna slowing down. They're bolting forward at top speed! The Skiddo is running, and at least doesn't have her horns down. But they're also... charging carelessly.]

[blood_and_thunder]

TASTE MY FURY!

[She begins firing her steel arrows! Watch out!]

[brandnewshoes]

FIERY ROCK BALLS, SHE'S SHOOTING AT US!

[Estelle shrieks and ducks under the first wave of steel arrows, which slams into the ground behind the Skiddo. Unfortunately, the Skiddo decides that this can be solved by only one thing: CHARGE.]

[And thus it starts running for Noire!]

No! Bad Karna! Bad Karna! She'll shoot more arrows! We don't want to taste her fury, it's not very tasty!

[blood_and_thunder]

BLOOD AND THUNDER!

[Noire isn't deterred by the oncoming charge, but Dusknoir is. He's been watching all of this rather calmly while he holds onto her shoulders, buuut there's only so much they can do. And just as Karna is about to run Noire over, Dusknoir picks her up and puts her aside.]

Hey!

[brandnewshoes]

[Karna keeps running, and... charges headfirst into a building. She hits the wall with a loud crack, throwing Estelle off the Skiddo's back, and to the ground. She rolls a few times and groans, before standing up wobbly.]

Ow, ow...

[The Skiddo stumbles in a daze. Estelle turns to look at Noire and the Dusknoir.]

...you two okay?

[Since the 'problem' is over, Dusknoir lets go of her shoulders...]

[And suddenly she seems to shrink up a little.]

We're fine... b-but what about you? That was a nasty fall...

I-I guess it got a bit out of hand...

[She laughs awkwardly, glancing at the Skiddo. She's stumbling, still, and shaking it off, but nothing she's not survived before.]

A little bruised but I'll be okay. I think Karna's okay, too.

[blood_and_thunder]

That's a relief. But the two of you should be more careful...

Yeah, yeah... it's hard to train them to race if you're always careful, though, you know?

[blood_and_thunder]

Couldn't you... maybe... try this where there are less people around...?

[brandnewshoes]

I was hoping the people might help. She wanted to charge trees and Pokemon out in the woods...

[She sighs, scratching at her head.]

[blood_and_thunder]

Huh? How would the people being in the way helped...?

[brandnewshoes]

Well... she's gonna have people around, cheering, during the race!

[blood_and_thunder]

... But they'd be safe in their seats, wouldn't they? They're not right next to the actual race... Or in front of it.

[brandnewshoes]

...sometimes it's better to start off hard and then go to easier stuff?

[She didn't think this part through.]

She kind of didn't listen when I said to not go here, though... I was thinking an emptier street.

[blood_and_thunder]

Maybe you should make sure she's a better listener before trying things out... maybe.

[brandnewshoes]

Yeah, I guess so... more training first, then. Sorry, Karna, it'll be awhile longer before we dominate the racing world!

[The Skiddo is unperturbed.]

It's all right... Sometimes it takes a while for them to understand. Some of my Pokemon friends still misbehave.

[not Dusknoir, though, thank you very much, he crosses his arms.]
