I've been working on a new song in the last couple weeks, but I'm having trouble thinking up lyrics. I'm not very good at thinking up words for my songs.

[ She's a little embarrassed to admit that in public, but she needs help! ]

It's kind of a love song, I guess you could say. But after last week I have a hard time writing anything...

[ Like breaking up with her girlfriend Chie so that she can hopefully be asked out by Nico. Life is tough. ]

S-So! If anyone is any good at writing lyrics or poetry or something, I'd let you work with me. Just get in touch with me, the sooner the better.

When is our next practice? I don't think we should slack off for too long, or else our hard work will be for nothing. Once I finish this song we can start working on that too.

Umi listens quietly as Maki plays the piano, getting a feel for the melody the other girl devised. It really is kind of catchy. Maki does have some talent. Once she's done playing, Umi speaks up.]

That was very good. You said it was a kind of love song, right?

W-Well, I think it would make a good love song. It just sort of feels right...

[ It's a song she wrote while thinking about her own issues in love, so it's only natural she thinks that. But she can't exactly say that to Umi... ]
