Wait. It's hard to tell, but that's actually a dude in drag. Hopefully you have good perception-- if not? Kuranosuke's not going to correct anyone who mistakes him for a girl. He's got on make up, a lusciously full blonde wig, and pink from head to toe apart from his black miniskirt.

It looks like he's making this broadcast from the business district, and he's speaking with a girly lilt to his voice-- what, gotta act the part if you're dressed up, right?]

[With a sigh, Kuranosuke ends the transmission and looks over at his Togepi. Dropping the feminine voice, he shrugs.]

Well, let's hope we don't get anyone boring.

Kura-po, you think everyone's boring nowadays.

I'm not wrong! There's never anyone with the right style. Everyone's always talking and talking- but it's like no one cares about what they do! I need something new.

[Pearls just lets out her own exasperated sigh. What is she going to do with this boy?]

[Fenris catches the human recording the message with such enthusiasm as he passes by. Thinking it's just another one of Union's lively inhabitants, he continues until the message finishes up and the oh-so-feminine voice from before is suddenly replaced with something very-much-masculine.

Please excuse this shiny Zorua as he stops walking past and stares very obviously, and very confusedly, at something he hasn't really encountered before. He knows of those who dress up as other genders, but he hasn't quite encountered anyone quite so...feminine before. At least when playing the part.]

[Kuranosuke's just going to stare for a moment, frowning.

Wait. Is that Zorua staring at him? Oh come on, he's obviously a shifter if he's something shiny, so what the hell--

Even if he's not, Kura's still gonna be a bit of a shit.]

[He continues staring despite himself. It's not really proper, but it's not like most humans understand him when he speaks in this form anyway. He wants to tell her—him?—that he does not want an autograph. Instead he's stuck staring for a few more moments before he looks at the Togepi like it can somehow give him some hint as to what he should do before finally making the decision to simply speak as he usually does. Even if the human doesn't understand his barks, the Togepi could understand him fine, and maybe that's enough for this particular situation.]

«I do not care for human oddities like autographs. I'm far more interested in finding out why exactly you speak with two voices. And...what you are.»

[Fenris hardly means any offense with his phrasing but he honestly has no idea how else to ask about the human's gender.]

[Fenris glances around to double check. Yes, there are no fairies. Not that fairy types have anything to do with one's voice anyway, as far as he's concerned.]

«O- oh. I see.» [He looks away sheepishly. That does constitute an appropriate answer, even if that wasn't what he'd hoped to find out.]

«I'm...not certain if your type dictates your vocal capability, however. Unless I'm mistaken. Rather, you're...uh. What I mean is... Erm...»

[He tapers off and stares a bit, trying to think of a less blunt way to put it. He doesn't succeed.]

«I cannot tell if you're a man or a woman. I am puzzled is all.»

[That gets a snort out of him. Now it makes sense.]

Dude, you could have just said so! Or, I guess it's better to ask what to call somebody, or something. I dunno, I just read it in a magazine.

I'm a dude. I just like dressing up.

«But if I ask what to call you, wouldn't the logical answer be simply your name? Rather than...» [Ah, this is a silly discussion. Whatever. He has found out what he wanted to know from the start. No point further pressing on hypothetical semantics of a future, hypothetical situation.]

«You like pretending to be a woman? Is it that you wish to be one?»

I'm not really pretending to be one, I just like dressing like one.

I mean, look at these clothes! They're killer. [He shrugs.] I don't need to be one, I'm fine.

I just like playing the part if I'm gonna be all dressed up, most of the time.

«'Killer'...» [He repeats it flatly, quizzically, and cocks his head to the side.] «Is that another way to say cool?»

[Needless to say, he doesn't know the first thing about fashion or what looks good or not. Really, he could actually use the advice of a Stylist but doesn't know it.]

«So you really just like the dressing up bit. Is that something that's fun for humans to do?»

[Again, he's fashion challenged and doesn't understand how dressing up is something that can be enjoyable.]
