At around 8 in the morning, a shooting star landed outside of Union's front gates. It left no crater, and didn't even make a lot of noise, but still attracted a fair amount of attention.

Anyone coming to investigate would find a young girl with red hair and a simple dress lying on the ground as if asleep, along with a set of shattered shackles. At the sound of another person approaching, she sat up and blinked a few times, looking around curiously.

[Later, video. The strange girl bows formally before the camera.]

For taking me in when I had nothing, I offer my sincerest thanks. As repayment, I wish to make myself useful, and so I also offer my services in whatever manner you would find useful.

[...huh... Well, one thing that can alleviate her suspicion a bit is sympathy, at the very least. Enough that she's going with benefit of the doubt for the moment.]

I'm gonna be hiring people to help me build some stuff soon, if you're interested. Experience with construction or machines would be helpful, but there's gonna be plenty of grunt work that won't need much more than strength to do too.

[Asemu was just about to start his shift when this happened. Immediately, he runs over.]

Hey, what the--

[He's confused to see a young girl there, unconscious, or so she looks. He immediately heads closer to make sure she's all right, but then she wakes up.]

Oh, uh. Are you all right? What happened?

[She stands.]

I am unhurt...I think.

[Better test that, she starts doing a few light stretches.]

You're sure? You were unconscious just a second ago. Do you have any idea what happened?

Not really. I was in a collapsing building, and then there was a light, and then...

Wait. A collapsing building?

[His head jerks back in Union's direction. Everything looks peaceful, aside from the occasional wild Pokémon drawn in by the event.]

I think I would have heard about a collapsing building if it was here. Were you in Union?

[Spurred by the hype over those strange lights in the sky the previous night, Atsuro definitely rushed out of the house to investigate this one, lack of sleep or no. He had expected it to be another Pokemon, but what he hadn't expected was a girl. He looked at her a little lost, first, cursing himself for not thinking of bringing a, a first aid kit or something-- even if there are no signs of an impact, just falling out sky like that can't be healthy, right?

Finally deciding to approach her - maybe he could carry her to a hospital or back home or just put miss Mari on the video, she is a field medic after all - he almost jumped back when she suddenly sat up. Gaping at her a little]

Y-You're alright?!

[She looked up pondering the question a bit, then climbed to her feet and stretched a bit.]

Yeah, but-- how-- I mean, you fell from the sky! Literally!

[He gapes at her for a few more seconds before finally getting himself together.]

I mean... It's a good thing you're okay. Just, how? Are you a Shifter? Flying type?

I did? It's all a jumble...

Er, yeah. It looked like a shooting star-- and something similar happened the night before, too, so I came to see what it was. And it was you.

Um, you're not from around here, right? Your clothes look kinda foreign, you don't have a warp band and... [He looks down at the ground again, frowning a little] ... I'm pretty sure we don't make shackles. Unless you're a runaway criminal, but I don't think you are one.
