The vast wilderness beckons! Beginning January 25th, 2014, all wild Pokémon threads that aren't incorporated as part of another post should go here. You are still welcome to include a section for bonding with wild Pokémon as a part of another entry or a log, but we encourage isolated wild Pokémon threads to go here to prevent flooding of the main comm with entries specifically geared to only cover wild Pokémon threads.

Please respond to the correct Week if possible for organizational purposes.

He hadn't been in Union for very long, so Nate and Axew were still getting acclimated. In doing so, they'd decided to look into checking out the Habitat.

Predictably, Axew found it soft. Nate didn't disagree, but he found the peacefulness calming. So much more welcoming and peaceful than what they'd both come from. Living in Sekiun, he never thought such a place could exist where humans and Pokemon lived side by side.

"I wonder..." he said aloud. "Are all the Pokemon here bonded to trainers?"

There was a Timburr that had been living in Union on a rock in the Pokemon Habitat nearby when Nate gave his thoughts out loud. At the sound of it the Pokemon turned and shook his head as if thinking how naive that thinking was. Timburr is in plain sight so Nate can easily spot the response that it is giving him.

Nate did catch sight of the Timburr. He blinked, and stared at it for several long moments. Why had it reacted in such a way?

When Nate didn't put two and two together, Axew scoffed, indicating through their bond that Timburr didn't have the smell of a Pokemon that spent a lot of time with humans.

Nate blinked again. It had no trainer? He steeled himself, and approached the Fighting-type Pokemon.

Timburr watches Nate as he proceeded forward. It doesn't move a muscle though if it needed its log it's right there beside it on the ground. It waits until Nate got closer before it tilted its head to the side. What sort of business to do have with it, trainer.

"... Um, hi," he said, before kneeling down. Then, he remembered something, and activated the Warp Band.

"You don't... have a trainer, do you? My name is Nate... I'm... not from around here. I could use a partner who knows this city better than I do."

Timburr raised an eyebrow before contemplating the offer.

"And what would I get in return?"

Nate paused, looking thoughtful for a moment. Then... he sighed.

"I don't know what I can promise, to be honest. But... I want to know more about Pokemon. I want to know more about this city, and make new experiences. And... Axew and I can't do that alone."

He smiled, a bit sadly. "I can't promise you anything... except... to be your partner. And to be someone you can grow alongside..."

Timburr doesn't say anything as it considered what Nate had said. After a few moments it jumped off the rock it was on and picked up its log.

"From the sounds of it you're gonna need the help. This place isn't like any other place you have possibly seen before. Don't need you getting in trouble or the like from your ignorance."

Nate couldn't help but smile. Axew? Axew just made a face, looking away.

"That's great... I'm... I'm really thankful," Nate replied. "You have no idea what this means to me."

"Don't thank me yet kid. First I need to teach you the ropes," Timburr replied. "Do you even know where you are right now."

Nate blinked.

"Uhm... the Habitat. That's where trainers' Pokemon live, right?"

"Hm. Close enough. So let's not dawdle here. There are a lot of other things you should learn about this place."

And with that Timburr starts to walk towards the exit. Ready for some lessons Nate because it's about to give you some.

Congrats! You have bonded with Timburr. As it is one of your starters you are free to pick it's level up to Level 8 and the rest of its stats are also up to you.

Nate stared for a moment, surprised by Timburr's attitude. He looked back over to Axew... the dragon almost looked impressed.

Nate smiled to himself, and nodded.

"Alright! Right behind you...!"
